FUCKED UP
police (2003/DERANGED)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Their 2nd and best 7" which includes their song "police". This record only reaffirms the superb song writing and delivery abilities of this young Canadian band. Catchy, powerful straight forward, yet melodic hardcore-punk. A fresh combination of mid-tempo growling vocals ala NEGATIVE APPROACH and driving rhythm like ADOLESCENTS or GERMS.
FUCKED UP
the chemistry of common life (2008/MATADOR)
POST/PUNK-ROCK. The 2nd album from Toronto post-hardcore wunderkinds FUCKED UP is a dense, orchestral album containing an expansive epic about the mysteries of birth, death and the origins of life (and re-living). Merging elements of hardcore songwriting with up to 70 tracks of guitars, organs, winds and vocals, the songs are iconoclastic and startling, with Damien's growling vocals front and center. It may not be worlds apart from their debut album, but there is something so primal and raw in everything FUCKED UP do that you can’t help but love every single minute of this album. There are not many bands like Fucked Up and there are not many frontmen like Pink Eyes. Make them your favourite band and do whatever you have to in order to get this album. Guest musicians include VIVIAN GIRLS, DFA 1979 and many more. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

FUCKING WRATH, THE
valley of the serpent's soul (2011/TEE PEE)
HARDCORE/METAL. Purveyors of all things heavy, on their 2nd full-length Southern California hardcore/metal-punks THE FUCKING WRATH bring a sound that's an amalgamation of groups such as DISCHARGE, BLACK FLAG, THE MELVINS and "kill em all"-era METALLICA. Vinyl version includes a MP3 download card.
FUELED BY FIRE
Spread the fire (2007/METAL BLADE)
THRASH-METAL. On the forefront of the West Coast thrash revival, LA's FUELED BY FIRE take influence from such classic bands as METALLICA, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, TESTAMENT, SLAYER and more and churn it into their own volatile sound. The song titles on this effort simply reflect their beliefs in Metal such as "Metal forever" and "Thrash is back". The singing is not amazing, the guitarists are not virtuosos, the bass is in the pocket, and the drumming is in the pocket. But somewhere in between FUELED BY FIRE have an album that could be a good listen to purveyors of the classic metal sound. If your a fan of that new bands, like MUNICIPAL WASTE, TOXIC HOLOCAUST etc. you should take note! Throw the horns and bang your head!
FUGAZI
13 songs (1989/DISCHORD)
POST/EMO-PUNK. This album is somewhat raw and sounds like they were still trying to figure out their sound. Some really great songs. FUGAZI are an incredible band that everyone into punk and alternative music at all should check out.
FUGAZI
3 songs (2009/DISCHORD)

FUGAZI
end hits (2009/DISCHORD)
POST/EMO-PUNK. FUGAZI is excellent on every level on which a band can be excellent. A bit of a departure from some the previous few FUGAZI albums, but definitely in a good way, you can see they were going somewhere with some of the newer ideas, and fortunately, it led to "the argument", which is similarly excellent. FUGAZI is the kind of band that never fails to impress. The vinyl was re-cut and re-mastered in 2009 and comes with a digital download card.
FUGAZI
furniture (2001/DISCHORD)
POST/EMO-PUNK. "furniture" featuring 3 tracks, which was written during the early days of FUGAZI (the original version only appears on their 1st demo recordings - and since then has never been released on record) along with the debut appearance of long-time FUGAZI roadie Jerry Busher playing 2nd drums and percussions on "number five".
