HARDCORE. Repeat offenders FURIOUS STYLES are back with their 2nd full-length release titled "menace". For fans of MADBALL, BIOHAZARD and FURY OF FIVE.
FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER
penny black (2012/RISE)
INDIE/EMO-ROCK. Eleven years after departing FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER to do his solo DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, Chris Carrabba has returned to front his old band, putting DASHBOARD on temporary hiatus. "penny black" both mirrors and expands upon FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER's early aesthetic. They have delivered 12 rock songs that resonate deeply with the listener; melodic, passionate and sincere. Colored, 1st edition vinyl version includes a CD.
FURY OF FIVE
Jersey style (2007/FILLED WITH HATE)
HARDCORE. FURY OF FIVE are New Jersey's most destructive crossover hardcore-metal band of all time. Bone crushing, metal and hardcore with a hint of hip hop feel. This is a great collection of hard to find demo and compilation tracks, never released before session recordings and rare live material, plus 2 unreleased songs by the tuffest East Coast hardcore band ever. In total this album contains 20 tracks (incl. cover of S.O.D.´s "Kill yourself", completely remastered. FURY OF FIVE members went on in SHATTERED REALM and BOXCUTTER.
FURZE
psych minus space control (2012/FYSISK FORMAT)
BLACK/PSYCHEDELIC-METAL. "psych minus space control" is the 5th full-length album from the norwegian black-psych-metal cult act FURZE. These norwegians transgress the borders of black-metal and classic psychedelic-rock, evoking a mystic sensation of terror and elevation, suggesting a musical archetype where the powers of SUN RA and BLACK SABBATH come into one.
FUTURE RUINS
s/t (2012/ABORTED SOCIETY)
CRUST-HARDCORE/METAL. This is a crushing debut full-length by FUTURE RUINS, a five-piece metallic crust outfit hailing from various parts of Sweden. There are similarities from their previous incarnation of MASSMORD, however along with the name change came a more complex shift in songwriting. The result is an invariably tight crust-hardcore-metal hybrid painted across a lyrically dystopian backdrop. This is a wall of crash laden d-beat crust and some remarkably dark and melodic breakdowns all moving at a breakneck pace. This has a very classic Swedish death-metal production sound while retaining some essential rawness. If you like SKITSYSTEM, WOLFBRIGADE or early ENTOMBED - try FUTURE RUINS.
FUZZTONES, THE
Lysergic emanations (2006/GET BACK)
GARAGE-ROCK. It's 1985, and THE FUZZTONES' wild frontman Rudi Protrudi has ripped out the heart of '60s freakbeat and eaten it for his midnight snack, the result: an aural acid trip called "Lysergic emanations". This is THE FUZZTONES first studio album; it's deliciously unglued and doesn't leave anyone pining for the bad old days.
FY FAN
ingen framtid for alltid (2011/NO WAY)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Sweden's FY FAN return with a 6 track 7" of short, fast, raw swedish hardcore-punk. Their most abrasive output to date! It's like a swift slap in the face! Clocking in at just 7min., bringing to mind early POISON IDEA, ANTI-CIMEX and MOB 47.
G. RAY Y LOS HERMANOS PATCHEKOS
Lucky goddamn (2007/GUTFEELING)
LATIN/INDIE-ROCK. This eleven-piece Latin rock ensemble hark from that epicentre of mariachi music: Munich. Yes, G. RAG Y LOS HERMANOS PATCHEKOS present a curiously Bavarian take on a variety of South American styles, taking in the sort of arid, tumbleweed strewn sounds you might expect to hear on a CALEXICO album and the distorted ragtime most closely associated with TOM WAITS. The key strength of this album is in its irreverent reinterpretation of classic boogaloo, salsa and tango motifs, but that’s not to say there aren’t a few unexpected fusions along the way. There’s the banjo and steel drum ditty and the mournful country blues, which finds this miniature orchestra in full voice, and an impressive aural treat it is too. At times bizarre, but always entertaining, "Lucky goddamn" is well worth your investigation.
G.I.S.M.
(0/)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Another live document of the early Japanese hardcore scene. G.I.S.M. is probably the most well known Japanese hardcore band ever, and many bootlegs have seen the light of day since the early '90. This features live performances by the band in their early days, the '82 performance are the earliest G.I.S.M. songs ever to be released, and feature a different guitar player than on their studio recordings. The sound is bad, the songs are raw as fuck punk, and the whole performance is a total noise assault. The '83 performance features guitar player Randy, and features a lot of more typical G.I.S.M. songs, known from their 12” and compilation appearances. The sound is a bit more civilized, but still very noisy, and the songs differ quite a bit from their later studio versions. Get this.

G3
Un nuevo enemigo (2007/LENGUA ARMADA)
HADCORE-PUNK. Another highly recommended Lengua Armada record. This LP compiles the music from Peru's G3, who were one of the few hardcore-punk bands representing South America in the '80s. These tracks were recorded in 1987 and can be described as a fast, raw 7 SECONDS inspired hardcore attack! This one should be your 1st record from a band from Peru!
GADGET
remote (2003/RELAPSE)
GRINDCORE. Swedish grindcore sensation GADGET showcases its high-energy sound on its Relapse debut. "remote" delivers the smashing sounds of a band fast on the rise. GADGET's gigantic delivery and musical muscle dazzles and delights, proving the band one of extreme music's surging stars.
GADGET
the funeral march (2011/7 DEGREE/RELAPSE)
GRINDCORE. More Than 5 Years after the CD-release of this forward-thinking grindcore-opus on Relapse, the time has come to listen to "the funeral march" in a re-mastered vinyl edition! This is more than a devout collection of blasting beats, sweltering guitars and real-world lyric by these swedish guys. "the funeral march" incorporates sinister melodies and a keen sense of dynamics to an already explosive mix. GADGET is more fierce and focused than ever before and shaping the future of grindcore with "the funeral march". Vinyl comes with gatefold-cover.
GAINING GROUND
Still trying (2008/SEASICK)
HARDCORE. Coupling the musical delivery of both TRIAL and FLOORPUNCH, Albany's GAINING GROUND bring a fresh approach to their scene, attacking with speed, anger and plenty of breakdowns and singalongs. Overall just completely astonishing hardcore. This is definitely a must buy if you're into this type of hardcore.
GALLOWS
grey britain (2009/REPRISE)
POST-HARDCORE. The UK's GALLOWS burst onto the scene with their Epitaph debut "orchestra of wolves" and is set to strike back with "grey britain" which once again finds the band combining elements of REFUSED, BLACK FLAG (they even cover "nervous breakdown"), but here it's much closer to HOT WATER MUSIC fueled by "my war" era. A brutal album if ever there was one. "orchestra of wolves" is a 13 track assault filled with plenty of sneer and punk attitude. If you're in the mood for musical fuck-shit-uppery, then this full-length is for you. Double LP comes with gatefold-cover.
