EMOCORE. GRAY MATTER officially formed in the summer of 1983 but had been playing in bands since their early middle school days. The band's 1st album, "food for thought", was originally released on R&B Records in 1985 while the members were still in high school and continues to stand out as a classic teenage punk album. In the aftermath of DC’s "revolution summer" GRAY MATTER recorded the brilliant “take it back” MLP which was released on Dischord in 1986. Shortly thereafter the band went on one of their frequent hiatuses. Colored vinyl was re-cut and re-mastered in 2009 and includes a digital download card.

GREAT REVERSALS from DEtroit drawing inspiration from bands like TRIAL, MODERN LIFE IS WAR, BANE and a bit of QUICKSAND, meld dense riffs, soaring melody, raw emotion and reflective lyrics with hopes of replicating the spirit of '90s hardcore. "to the ends of the earth" lyrically deals with the drummer's raising his deaf, autistic son, capturing his feelings of angst, grief, hope, and perseverance amidst adverse circumstances. These 4 songs are the best to date and you'll be impressed by the intensity and energy these songs are played.

These pieces demonstrate a shift in focus to harmony, restraint and the use of muted tones, while less interest is taken in the large dynamic shifts that once carried the weight of many of their compositions. DOOM. Easily one of the most anticipated albums in the doom scene for years! Lots of hard work and time went into the creation of this doomicus epicus masterpiece. All female trio of heavy doom, the way it should be. The sound of this record is unlike any others out there today...easily some of the heaviest shit you've ever heard. It will appeal to fans of a large variety of heavy music, but to drop a few names: ASUNDER, COFFINS, CORRUPTED, 13, EVOKEN and anything slow and brutally heavy. Really well written songs, both lyrically, conceptionally and of course the riffs are sick. Remastered by Mell Dettmer (Sunn, Earth, Boris) to make it even that much better!
