HOME INVASION
s/t (2010/FREQUENCY DELETED)
HARDCORE. This 5 track MCD from HOME INVASION is their debut release and shows their brand of heavy, angry hardcore played in the same spirit as early TERROR, REIGN SUPREME and 50 LIONS.
HOMEFRONT, THE
sacrifice (2007/ONRUSH/PER KORO)
HARDCORE. Massachusetts based hardcore outfit THE HOMEFRONT has quite a pedigree of previous bands: HAVE HEART, GUNS UP and VERSE. And if you've enjoyed the output of any those bands, you'll be greatly pleased with THE HOMEFRONT's debut offering, "sacrifice". THE HOMEFRONT play highly energetic and powerful modern-hardcore with a melodic twist - not unlike WITH HONOR or MODERN LIFE IS WAR and the above mentioned bands. The band managed to play over 100 shows in 2 years of their existence, with much more planned upon the near future. The handnumbered and limited to 525 copies contains 12 (2 additional bonus tracks) amazingly written songs sure to blow you away. [#001] Per Koro sublabel

HOMEWRECKER
worms and dirt (2012/A389)
HARDCORE. Ohio's HOMEWRECKER present their most vicious effort to date. "worms and dirt" is 9 tracks of dark, brooding metallic hardcore; think INTEGRITY meets APARTMENT213 meets SLAYER playing in the movie "hostel". Includes huge poster insert of artwork by Szymon Siech. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
HOMEWRECKER / LOVE BELOW, THE
split (2011/A389)
HARDCORE. California's favorite deviants THE LOVE BELOW return with 3 tracks of CURSED meets LEFT FOR DEAD style hardcore that pick up where their 7" left off. Ohio's HOMEWRECKER deliver 2 tracks best described as power-violence influenced hardcore with INTEGRITY moshparts and a vocal cameo by John Caution of WEEKEND NACHOS. Colored 7" includes a MP3 download card.
HOMEWRECKERS, THE
daydreaming about assholes (2010/KISS OF DEATH)
HARDCORE-PUNK. At 1st listen, THE HOMEWRECKERS sound like a more pissed-off version of THE DISTILLERS. This Brooklyn band's 7" is in-your-face and totally confrontational. "daydreaming about assholes" is vengeful and unapologetically spiteful, yet refreshingly honest. Cristy Road fronts the band and pulls influence from Keith Morris-era BLACK FLAG.
HOMINID / WAR HERO
split (2009/JUST SAY NO)
HARDCORE. Nearly a year in the making, this piece of wax is ready to get into your hot little hands and spin around and 33 and 45 rotations. This is a well done split release between 2 young bands from Western Canada. HOMINID are from Edmonton take sludge and thrash and slam it into something along the lines of PULLING TEETH and LEFT FOR DEAD. WAR HERO are from Squamish and thrash like CHARLES BRONSON and INFEST. Limited edition of 500 copies.
HOMOSTUPIDS
strawberry orange peach banana (2011/FASHIONABLE IDIOTS)
PUNK-ROCK. It's simplistic, it's noisy, it's an LP from Cleveland's kings of idiot rock, HOMOSTUPIDS, which finds the trio continuing to channel the spirits of CLOCKCLEANER, early PISSED JEANS, FLIPPER, and MINUTEMEN.
HOMOSTUPIDS
the intern (2007/PARTS UNKNOWN)
PUNK-ROCK. After 2 awesomely blown-out 7"s, Cleveland’s HOMOSTUPIDS give up their debut full-length to the Parts Unknown empire. A perturbing stew of full-bore garage spew and psychedelic punkaroo, this full-length will be the soundtrack to many losers’ bad drug parties for centuries to come. The album contains 14 songs = one big headache. Featuring members of NINE SHOCKS TERROR. It really should be no surprise that these freaks are one of the better bands in that retro-punk genre.
HONGO
...y sembrarán los campos de odio (2012/CONTRASZT)
POST-HARDCORE/METAL. Since the beginning of the band in 2000, HONGO from Spain have been absorbing influences from all members previous bands (MADAME GERMEN, BLACK PANDA, NASHGUL etc.). With their newest effort "...y sembrarán los campos de odio" they consequently deliver a further development to their previous works. Creating a really intense dark atmosphere of epic post-metal/doom, you will find a encompassing trance sound on this record biased on the paths of bands such as NEUROSIS and ENVY, with a suffocated voice growling about a worried perspective of the human nature.
HOODS
ghetto blaster (2007/EULOGY)
HARDCORE. "ghetto blaster" features 12 tracks of which 2 live tracks. HOODS isn’t really known for their refreshing sound or inventive riffing, again on "Ghetto blaster" this did not change. All 10 tracks reminds a bit of previous material but it doesn’t bore. Just like bands as UNTIL THE END, HATEBREED and THROWDOWN these guys manage to get the blood pumping and the adrenalin flowing through the veins. Unlike their previous album "Ghetto blaster" contains some more variation in styles and maybe that’s the reason HOODS stands out compared to most mosh releases these days. With artwork by Sean Taggart (Agnostic Front, Mental).
HOODS
pit beast (2009/REALITY/I SCREAM)
HARDCORE. HOODS was founded in Sacramento in 1995 by Mike Hood and have grown into a hardcore institution. HOODS have released several albums on a number of independents and now the long-awaited new album "pit beast" is set for release. For fans of BLOOD FOR BLOOD, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR and TERROR.
HOODS
the king is dead (2006/EULOGY)
HARDCORE. "the king is dead" is a call to arms for all of those who have grown tired watching hardcore be exploited and bastardized. Sacramento's HOODS have used their ten years of experience to craft one of the most brutal and honest releases of 2005. Without question, this is the band's best material to date and is sure to ring true with fans of TERROR, HATEBREED, and MADBALLl.
HOOKERS, THE
blood over germany - live (2001/PEOPLE LIKE YOU)
PUNK 'N' ROLL. Kentucky's HOOKERS conquered europe in 2001 and the 18 tracks on this CD capture on one those wild shows. This CD is pretty badass - THE HOOKERS make great music, this is no exception.
HOOKERS, THE
horror rises from the tomb (2012/GREEN MIST)
PUNK 'N' ROLL. THE HOOKERS return from nearly 4 years of self-imposed exile to unleash their bloody brand of punk-metal on their rabid fans. "horror rises from the tombs", a vinyl-only 15-song blast of blood and guts rock 'n' roll is their loudest and most anthemic album to date.
HOOVER
the lurid traversal of route 7 (2010/DISCHORD)
POST/EMO-PUNK. Out of print for many years, Dischord has remastered the now-classic "the lurid transversal of route 7" from HOOVER, who helped patent a '90s indie-rock sound that walked a line between the sounds of FUGAZI and SLINT, with members going on to JUNE OF 44 after HOOVER's demise.
