KING AUTOMATIC
i walk my murderous (20077/VOODOO RYTHM)
BLUES-PUNK/GARAGE. The king is back - back with more one-man recording and back with a album full of insane music. Jay aka KING AUTOMATIC invited friend home to play music with, but only for some solos. All of the stuff you here on this record are recorded in only one take! KING AUTOMATIC is the worlds only one-man orchestra! All in all this record is much more garage and blues than the 1st album. If you like trashy rock 'n' roll with a touch of blues and an up front voice then this is the album for you.
KING GENERATOR
s/t (2008/TANKCRIMES)
HARDCORE. KING GENERATOR is a supergroup of sorts featuring Dave Witte of MUNICIPAL WASTE/DISCORDANCE AXIS etc. on drums, Jamie Thomson of SHANK on guitar and Mike Hill of ANODYNE on bass and vocals. The result of this is 7 tracks of blasting hardcore-violence that comes as a one-sided LP with an laser-etching on the B-side in a hand screened cover. Included to the vinyl you'll get an actual CD version of this record slipped into the record cover.
KING KHAN & HIS SHRINES
three hairs and you're mine (2007/VOODOO RHYTHM)
SOUL/ROCK. KING KHAN’s roots are in India and in Canada he had his 1st punk band, with the SPACESHISTS. KING KHAN & HIS SHRINES is a mixed up crazy family with a even more insane and fantastic charismatic singer. This Record gonna blow your wig away - this is soul music! They deserve a cover version of BOo DIDDLEY's "crackin' up" and the rest comes from the feather of KING KHAN. “shivers down my spine” is under your skin music and you're gonna kill your self after listening to this album. You gonna shake your ass like never before.
KING KHAN & PAT METEOR
fiery tears of st. laurent (2010/SUB POP)
GARAGE-ROCK. the "fiery tears of st. laurent" is KING KHAN's tribute to French Canada. The a-side recalls the story of St. Laurent who was burned at the stake for refusing to renounce Jesus Christ in front of the King. While his flesh was burning he said: "i am crisp on this side it is time to turn me over", an act that earned him a sainthood. Shooting stars (traditionally called the "fiery tears of st. laurent") can often be seen above KING KHAN's hometown of Montreal.
KING OF CLUBZ
The end (2007/FILLED WITH HATE)
HARDCORE. First full-length by Quad Cities masters of negative hardcore. Still heavy as fuck and this time the 11 tracks got an awesome production and sound. KING OF CLUBZ definitely brings back the hard in hardcore! All in all this is definitely a release you should check out if you dig hard and brutal mosh, metalcore and tuffguy bands! Packed in a nice cover design by Rafal Wechterowicz (Iron Maiden, Trivium, etc. ). For fans of MADBALL, HOODS, SHATTERED REALM and BULLDOZE a shure winner.
KING OF CLUBZ / WHATEVER IT TAKES
split (2005/FILLED WITH HATE)
Again FWH brings together european and US bands. This time with a furious mix of mosh from King of Clubz (USA) in the one corner and Whatever It Takes (B) in the other. Hoods up!
KING TUFF
s/t (2012/SUB POP)
GARAGE-PUNK/ROCK. "was dead", KING TUFF's 2008 debut, captured the attention of the rock underground and quickly blew through its limited pressing. KING TUFF's songwriting was stretching far beyond the thrill of the immediate dance-floor reflex and now revealed a songwriter with a keen eye inside everyone. Cut your ears off. Rock 'n' roll is meant to be blasted into your cells, penetrated, and absorbed. It's a visceral experience. Seek solace in solitude when you're dead. If you aren't able to recognize the genius in this epic album, then you're already dead. Kill yourself, or get a job - your choice. All hail the King. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
KING TUFF
screaming skull (2012/SUB POP)
GARAGE/PUNK-ROCK. Los Angeles-via-Vermont garage/power-pop wunderkind KING TUFF presents 2 brand new, non-album tracks, hot on the heels of his critically-acclaimed self-titled full-length. "screaming skull" is a club-ready, guitar-driven dance hit, and "love potion" is yet another glammed-up rock anthem from the King.
KINGDOM
the rage that guides (2009/EULOGY)
SXE-HARDCORE. KINGDOM formed in 2006 with the intent of making pissed off and socially relevant vegan-straight-edge hardcore. In a scene where bands trade their ideals for merch sales and kids trade their rage for a pair of sneaks, KINGDOM strives to maintain the ideas and ethics that lay however buried at the foundation of this movement. This 10 song record contrasts feelings of hopelessness, suffering and despair with those of empowerment, hope and rage. Seething and spiteful, "the rage that guides" is a dose of broken glass for a spoon-fed scene.
KINGDOM
threads (2011/DEAD TRUTH)
HARDCORE. Forming in 2006, KINGDOM exploded into the over-saturated, watered-down cesspool of hardcore, fueled by an agenda of justice and compassion. Now 2011 sees KINGDOM resurface with easily their most focused material to date, "threads". KINGDOM is proof the vegan-straight-edge is still pissed on the East-Coast. Colored 7" includes a MP3 download card.
KINGDOM OF SORROW
behind the blackest tears (2010/RELAPSE)
METAL. Metal legends Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Kirk Windstein (DOWN, CROWBAR) return with "behind the blackest tears", the 2nd album from their acclaimed super-group KINGDOM OF SORROW. "behind the blackest tears" pushes their songwriting talents even further. Colored vinyl features a gatefold cover and includes a MP3 download card.
KINGDOM OF SORROW
s/t (2008/RELAPSE)
METAL. Boasting a lineup that includes members of such infamous metal bands as HATEBREED, DOWN, CROWBAR, and more, the infamous KINGDOM OF SORROW has been unveiled. The brainchild of Jamey Jasta and riff-master Kirk Windstein, KINGDOM OF SORROW tears through an 11 track barrage of some of the most punishing, straight-up metal in years. KINGDOM OF SORROW is a nice combination of Jasta and Windstein's other bands. It has elements of harsh and fierce metalcore, but also a southern-metal and stoner groove. You'll hear slow to mid-tempo songs with a lot of melody and a lot of aggression along with metallic hardcore influenced, breakdown infused brutality.
KINGS OF LEON
Only by the night (2008/RCA)
INDIE-ROCK. With THE WHITE STRIPES facing an uncertain future, and THE STROKES fragmenting into underwhelming solo careers, KINGS OF LEON are the sole surivors of America's early 21st century heritage-rock boom. They return with the release of their highly anticipated 4th album "Only by the night". This new release is a bold and expansive sonic statement that looks set to solidify KINGS OF LEON's position as one of the most important international acts of 2008 and beyond. That’s music - that’s good music - it evolves. Like others before them, KINGS OF LEON have responded to the experience of touring with U2 by making an album that seems better calculated to appeal to Bono's fans than their own.
KINGSTON FALLS
armada on mercury (2008/FACEDOWN)
METALCORE/POP-ROCK. After years spent on the road delighting fans across the country with a smooth, palatable brand of rock, KINGSTON FALLS took some time off to write and record their debut album for Facedown Records. "armada on mercury" was produced by Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada) and is 12 tracks packed full of pop hooks, overlaid with heavy rhythms, up beat choruses and metal leads. Metal and pop-rock have collided head on and the result is "armada on mercury."
