KOMMANDO SONNENMILCH
pfingsten (2010/MAJOR LABEL)
PUNK-ROCK. Ganze 15 neue Songs hat "pfingsten" zu bieten. Nach den letzten beiden Alben "jamaica" und "bernstein" zeigt sich das Kommando SONNENMILCH diesmal wieder wandlungsfähig wie ein Chamäleon und unangepasst wie ein Keiler. Reggae, der uns auf "jamaica" schuldig geblieben ist, seiert unheilsschwanger aus den Boxen und macht die Rohre scharf aus denen Punkhymnen ballern. Da wird Dub und Blues die längst vergessene Schizophrenie wieder eingehaucht, mit den Rachut-typischen Texten versehen, und schon ist die Verstörung für 2010 eindrucksvoll gerettet. Wie bei Major Label üblich, erscheint die Vinyl-LP in edelster Deluxe-Ausstattung: Unverwüstlicher 350gr. Karton umhüllt bleischweres Vinyl, alle Texte sind auf der bedruckten Innenhülle zu finden. Die CD-Variante kommt als schickes Digipack.

PUNK-ROCK. Gerade mal ein Jahr ist es her, als das aufsehenerregende Album "Jamaica" erschienen ist. Die meisten Plattenteller sind immer noch warm. Ein paar Plattennadeln später sind die Flinten der hyperaktiven Rachutbande längst nachgeladen. Auf "Scheisse nicht schon wieder Bernstein" knüpft man musikalisch direkt am Vorgängeralbum an. Von den Meistern persönlich gibt es 8 neue Songs als warme bretternde Punkrockhymnen. Es wird mit Schrotpatronen auf Insekten geschossen. Dazu gesellen sich wie immer Rachuts allerfeinste Lyrics und undenkbar skurile Geschichten und somit vergehen keine 10 Sekunden bis zur ersten Gänsehaut. Das ist das geölte Fangeisen unter den Punkrockplatten 2008! Wie bei Major Label üblich, erscheint die Vinyl-LP in edelster Deluxeausstattung als bernsteinfarbenes, transparentes und siebbedrucktes Vinyl.

HARDCORE. "mai come voi" is the 2nd full-lenght for the italian kings of d-beat hardcore. The album feature 10 brand new tracks and a nice surprise of delightful discharge beat mixed with some fast crushing anthems and a bit of melody here and there. Vocals, sun in italian sounds like good old WRETCHED. KONTATTO will deliver you a lethal cross of ANTI-CIMEX, WRETCHED, DISRUPT and of course DISCHARGE worship. POST-HARDCORE. "gambling on the richter scale", the 1st full-length effort from KOWLOON WALLED CITY. And rightfully so, as these 8 songs/37min. expand on their brand of thick, pounding rhythms with smatterings of somber clean passages, subtle little bits of melody, and loads of great little winding riffs that offer up some warped dissonance. And all the while they've maintained the balance with slower and more spacious areas while also taking sludgy standards to even heavier depths than before. And seriously, this thing sounds fuckin' amazing.
KOYAANISQATSI
Weiter (2005/TWISTED CHORDS)
Nach einer Split mit KOBAYASHI und einem Album aus dem Jahre 2001 folgt mit 'Weiter' das zweite Output von KOYAANISQATSI. 12 neue Songs geben die Bremer hier zum besten, incl. einer STRANGE FRUIT Coverversion, die in bester, flotter Punkrockmanier runtergespielt werden. Musikalisch erinnert mich das Ganze an eine Mischung aus TURBOSTAAT und KETTCAR. Die kompletten, sehr politischen Texte werden auf deutsch eingesungen, bis auf den Song 'Impressioni', dessen Text italienisch ist. In dem fetten Booklet gibt es dann auch zu jedem Text eine englische Uebersetzung. Tipp fuer Fans der Musik aus dem hohen Norden.

CRUST-HARDCORE. This is the latest from Chicago's stenchiest of stench-core. After a couple of demo CDs and a 7", this full-length is a crucial addition to any punk who has an AMEBIX patch sewn on with dental floss, a NAUSEA shirt. Limited LP includes a digital download card.

KRAUT were an important outpost for the more British influenced punk bands of the late '70s early '80s and their shows along with those of REAGAN YOUTH and THE MISFITS were essential for anyone into punk. Providing a safe haven for the fleeing SEX PISTOL Steve Jones (Who plays on 3 tracks), KRAUT released "an adjustment to society" to a waiting die-hard fan base simultaneously in the USA and UK.

KRMTX sind die CHROMATICS, allerdings machen Adam M. und Nat S. jetzt als Duo weiter. Adam hat neben dem Gesang noch den Part an der Gitarre uebernommen, auch wenn ich ehrlich gesagt keine Gitarre hoere. Eher Low-Fi Electro-Dub, der staendig bemueht scheint, Pop zu sein. Dazu stammelt ein verwirrter junger Mann Laute vor sich hin. Klingt alles nicht so ganz ausgegoren. Dennoch besteht das Label GSL darauf, dass diese Art von Musik sehr wichtig ist. Fuer Fans der CHROMATICS und Liebhaber des GSL Labels mag diese kleine Scheibe Sinn machen.
