PROFIT AND MURDER
mother nature is afterbirth (2009/RISING RIOT)
CRUST-HARDCORE. PROFIT AND MURDER released a nice 7" in the past. This is the 2nd output of the old crustys with members of WORLD CHAOS and HELLHAAK from Bremen. The 7" was real good and this LP is the tangible continuation of it. You'll get 10 typical boisterous and aggressive d-beat crust-titles in a great noisy and raw sound. Lyrics are fierce, political and personal, just how it has to be for a proper disbeat-record.
PROJECT X
straight edge revenge (2010/BRIDGE NINE)
SXE-HARDCORE. Again and again...after a couple years a new repress. Released initially as a one-time 7" pressing of 500 in 1988, "straight edge revenge" was released as a supplement to hardcore fanzine, Schism issue #7. PROJECT X featured members of JUDGE, YOUTH OF TODAY, SIDE BY SIDE, GORILLA BISCUITS and WARZONE! Tongue in cheek lyrics set to classic NYC-hardcore from these youth-crew allstars.
PROLETAR / DIORRHEA
split (2010/ROTTEN TO THE SCORE)
GRINDCOER. Another classic international grind split. Keeping up with the ever growing Indonesian grind scene PROLETAR doesn't dissapoint. They offer 5 tracks of politically charged grind with dual vocals, epic riffage and non-stop double bass. DIORRHEA are from Italy and play more of a thrash influenced grind, which is a good thing. With 6 songs they mix it up well, expect blast beats, breakdowns and well placed dual vocals.
PROMISE RING
30ø everywhere (1996/JADE TREE)
The debut full-length by the hit-making, hip-shaking pretty boys from Milwaukee proves that they aren't just a singles band. An inspiring collection of 12 poetic arrangements, the album is overflowing with soaring energy and enough hooks on which to hang the entire football team's varsity jackets!
PROMISE RING
Nothig feels (1997/JADE TREE)
INDIE ROCK. The Promise Ring's penchant for writing the most perfect pop songs around has never been more evident than on their sophomore full-length. Irresistible in every way, Milwaukee's jukebox heroes have encapsulated their vibrant live energy on record and it shows. You won't be able to get these songs out of your head for months!!!!!
PROMISE RING
The horse latitudes (1997/JADE TREE)
INDIE ROCK. This is all of The Promise Ring's 7" efforts on one digital compact disc. Included in this collection are the out-of-print single on Foresight Records, "Falsetto Keeps Time", The Promise Ring/Texas Is The Reason split, + two unreleased songs.
PROMISE RING
Wood/water (2002/EPITAPH)
INDIE-ROCK. The kings of indie-rock let loose a career-defining work that shuns category and mines the vein of classic song craft with genuine originality and flair. Produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, The Cranberries), this is an album overflowing with rich arrangements and heart-felt vocal performances.
PROMISE, THE
My true love (2001/DEATHWISH)
HARDCORE. Just when you thought the days of straight-edge devotion were long over, THE PROMISE have risen to the call! Featuring a stellar line up tested mercenaries from SANTE SANGRE, ANOTHER VICTIM, TURMOIL, ONE KING DOWN, EARTH CRISIS, STARKWEATHER and CONVICTION - these warlords wrap their bloody knuckles around the flag of Syracuse rooted straight-edge. To take up the fight on the same ground where their brethren, EARTH CRISIS and ANOTHER VICTIM, once proudly stood tall.
PROPAGANDHI
failed state (2012/EPITAPH)
MELODYCORE/PUNK. PROPAGANDHI join the Epitaph roster with their new album "failed states", just in time for their politically engaged anthems to form a soundtrack to that magical theatrical production known as the US elections. "failed states" is the band's 6th album, and their 2nd as a four-piece. This has led to a distinctive thickening and fortifying of the band's sound, to the point where they now achieve maximum heaviness, in a good way. This is most definitely the best PROPAGANDHI album yet, full of loud, fast, indignant songs that stick in your head. Vinyl version includes a free CD of this entire album.
PROPAGANDHI
how to clean everything (1993/FAT WRECK)
MELODYCORE/PUNK. The 1st wave of Canadian vegans to cross the US punk border. A whole bunch of fast melodic songs that'll make you wanna laugh as the government burns to the ground. Songs about megan, bacon and vegans.
