TOXOPLASMA
s/t (2004/WEIRD SYSTEM)
Essentiell!!

TOYOTAS
for sale (2012/P. TRASH)
GARAGE/PUNK-ROCK. This 10" compiles the sold-out TOYOTAS 7"s plus 3 unreleased bonus songs (2 covers, "small talk" by THE REDUCERS and "tainted love" by ED COBB. The sleeve artwork was stolen from an original '60s dinner tray design and fixed to a stylish eye-catcher!
TRAGEDY
darker days ahead (2012/D.I.Y.)
HARDCORE. The vinyl version has been delayed due to mastering problems. "darker days ahead" is the 4th album from this well respected hardcore band. TRAGEDY pushing their genre to its expressive extremes, putting every trick they have into the service of gigantic slabs of forbidding, apocalyptic darkness. They use acoustic guitars and ambient radio-chatter and blazing power-metal guitar-leads whenever they want, and they put all these things into the service of roaring deep-concentration anger-bombs that, when you’re listening to them, make the world feel like a different place. "darker days ahead" is their furthest-out album yet - an absolutely crushing slab that’s closer to metal than to just about all ideas of punk. The record comes in black vinyl, thick printed inner sleeve, de-luxe old style casewrapped LP jacket with a letterpress embossing. US-pressing is slightly different to the european edition!
TRAGEDY
nerve damage (2006/D.I.Y.)
HARDCORE. Perhaps the most anticipated underground release of 2006, TRAGEDY deliver the goods on this 10 song full-length. Their sound is as dark and brooding as ever, taking cues from DISCHARGE and AMEBIX while mixing in elements of both Japanese and Swedish styles of crust-hardcore to create a unique sound that has characterized the band over their life span.
TRAGEDY
s/t (2001/SKULD)
HARDCORE. From the opening acoustic intro to the last dark, thrashed out note this is one seriously intense album. The obvious comparisons HIS HERO IS GONE and FROM ASHES RISE are there for sure but to me this has a bit more of a straight up hardcore feel to it. That said though, this has some excellent heavy pounding drum beats happening and some changes in pace, pitch and mood that are so tight and sudden they scream for your attention. The harsh throaty vocals belt out lyrix that are written as single block paragraphs dealing with overtly sociopolitical issues all looked at from a less than positive point of view. This record is very heavy, very angry and although you will probably like it, it will not make you happy!
TRAGEDY
vengeance (2002/SKULD)
HARDCORE. This is the sound of impending doom. The songs are epic, melodic, powerful and crushing - all at once! TRAGEDY is fast and extremely heavy hardcore with melancholic melodies and pissed off as fuck vocals. You can taste the athmosphere of the songs, while the music crawls under your skin - awesome! This european pressing comes in a nicely done gatefold-sleeve.
TRAGEDY / TOTALITÄR
split (2010/ARMAGEDDON)
HARDCORE. Already repressed! This is the highly acclaimed split 7" from 2003. A classic in the making, each group gives up 2 songs for this split. Sweden's TOTALITÄR play fierce punk with heavy DISCHARGE style guitars and feature on this split the drummer from BRAINBOMBS, while TRAGEDY play more of their Japanese influenced scuzzy out hardcore.
TRAINWRECK
if there's light it will find you (2011/ROCKSTAR)
HARDCORE. "if there's light it will find you" is the new 4 track MLP by Aachen's vets TRAINWRECK (featuring GLASSES and former EAVES). TRAINWRECK still playing their mix of dark and brooding hardcore. All versions come wrapped in a screenprinted gimmick cover!
TRAKTOR
lights (2009/SUPERFLUOUS)
POST-HARDCORE. TRAKTOR from Sweden, which are not only highly considered in circles of connoisseurs because of their extraordinary live qualities, perfect their grim chaos-core on their first full-length, entitled "lights". The typical TRAKTOR sound from the early days with indigestive breaks and dissonant guitar riffs in the vein of famous San Diego bands like DRIVE LIKE JEHU or SWING KIDS is getting enobled with dark and calm passages. Although the album was mastered in the much sought-after Tonteknik-Studio in Umeå, the regulary comparisons to REFUSED, early JR. EWIG are less present, then genre bulks like LACK or BREACH. "lights" is an album designed for a cheerless winter, post-hardcore between aggression and depression.
TRAKTOR
Sequence the sequence (2008/APOCAPLEXY)
POST-HARDCORE. TRAKTOR is a band from Eskilstuna, Sweden, and one who is obviously well-versed in the nuances of experimental hardcore. On their 3rd full-length, "Sequence the sequence", the band combine the chaos of BLOOD BROTHERS records and older JR EWING with a healthy, smoldering scream immediately reminiscent of REFUSED. Consequently, "Sequence the sequence" is a terribly familiar sound, one done considerably better by the band's influences and other sporadic acts. But the intensity and ambition shown on the album is enough to warrant a few listens.
TRAMPLE
Strike when provoked (2008/SIGNIFICANT)
Fresh off the beaches of Miami, Florida, TRAMPLE feature members of MAKE OR BREAK and bring a hard-nosed style of hardcore that took influence from bands like CRO-MAGS, JUDGE and SICK OF IT ALL.
TRANSIENT / THIS RUNS ON BLOOD
split (2009/END THEORY)
HARDCORE. THIS RUNS ON BLOOD is noisy hardcore from Flagstaff with ex members of RUINACRE and SHITBASTARD. Chaotic and epic screamed 3 piece modern-hardcore insanity. You'll get 1 new track and an inspired retake on THE NARROWS "over and out''. TRANSIENT from Portland deliver punkish grind-violence - 4 tracks of vehament grind with incredible screamed vocals.
TRANSIT
keep this to yourself (2011/RUN FOR COVER)
POP/EMO-PUNK. For the past few years, TRANSIT has been at the brink of perfectly blending the Midwest emo they grew up on with the modern pop-punk sound of their contemporaries. With their sophomore full-length, that idea has become fully realized. "keep this to yourself" is 14 blasts of fast, emotive, technical pop-punk, cohesively strung together so well it's hard to believe TRANSIT hasn't released any music since the early part of the 2000s.
TRANSIT
listen & forgive (2011/RISE)
POP/EMO-PUNK. TRANSIT believes music is about connecting with people and that's exactly what they do. Through the honesty and individuality expressed in their music, the Boston band has been able to connect with kids from their humble beginnings in the pop-punk scene and nationwide as they have toured more and more. TRANSIT bring their blend of pop-punk and emo to Rise Records with "listen & forgive", an album that aims to connect with the listener the same way the band has on tours.
