WARNING//WARNING
there's nothing left (2011/SOLAR FUNERAL)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Skull splitting nuclear hardcore-punk that could only be crafted by these 4 disgusting individuals in France near the border of Spain. This release is more harsh sounding than their past efforts but this still retains a hardcore edge with well written, catchy songs. After 2 tapes and a 7" this is their debut LP. For fans of GAI, CONFUSE, LEBENDEN TOTEN.
WARPED CROSS
wherever i may doom (2010/DEMON SPAWN)
SLUDGE/DOOM. Ex-members of german doomcore legend SUBVERSION formed WARPED CROSS. Their 3 track debut 7", "wherever i may doom" is limited to 200 records. WARPRIEST
archaic revival (2008/STREETCLEANER)
HARDCORE. Baltimore's WARPRIEST bring a dark, slightly metallic and down-tuned, yet fast, hardcore to this debut LP. Heavy, metallic guitars with the occasional burning spirits, pounding drums and howled vocals is the trademark of WARPRIEST. Influences cover a range of bands like PULLING TEETH, WORLD BURNS TO DEATH and some scandinavian bands like WOLFBRIGADE, DISFEAR as well.
WARRIOR KIDS
les enfants de l’espoir (2012/KATORGA WORKS)
OI-PUNK. This is the official reissue of the classic debut from Marseilles, France's WARRIOR KIDS. This comes at a very crucial time, as it marks this classic oi! band's 30th year of existence. Appearing on various classic compilations, the original incarnation of WARRIOR KIDS released a 7" and this phenomenal LP from 1985, "les enfant de l'espoir". WARRIOR KIDS is one of the archetypical of the French oi bands, alongside CAMERA SILENS and KOMINTERN SECT. This is their remastered LP. Comes in gatefold-jacket with poster.
WARRIORS, THE
beyond the noise (2006/EULOGY)
HARDCORE. The follow-up to the crushing "war is hell", "beyond the noise" is another 10 tracks of chugging, grooving from the high desert of California. Lyrically, the band takes an approach of global awareness to their songwriting style and combines it with the riffage of bands like 108, QUICKSAND, SNAPCASE and even RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.
WARRIORS, THE
genuine sense of outrage (2007/VICTORY)
HARDCORE. Built upon a seven-year legacy of passion, honesty and non-stop touring, THE WARRIORS have proven themselves to be one of the most distinguished names in contemporary hardcore. Their 3rd studio album and Victory debut "Genuine sense of outrage" shows the band fusing hardcore, metal and elements of hip-hop into their soundtrack of modern urban outrage. "Genuine sense of outrage" is guaranteed to carve a whole new crater in the world of hardcore. With the skill to blend hip-hop influenced breakdowns, raw, uncompromising vocals, and groove oriented metallic riffs, THE WARRIORS have crafted a genuinely unique hardcore record that will please everyone!
WARRIORS, THE
see how you are (2011/VICTORY)
HARDCORE. THE WARRIORS' brand of hardcore is equally inspired by BURN, ORANGE 9MM and even RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and crossover thrash as it is by traditional hardcore. "see how you are" continues Los Angeles's THE WARRIORS' disregard for how hardcore songs should be written and builds into their rock-edged take on hardcore with bigger breakdowns, better riffs and more overt emotion.
WARRIORS, THE
war is hell (2005/EULOGY)
HARDCORE. THE WARRIORS made 2004 their year with the release of their debut "war is hell". The production is on point; everything sounds crisp and you can hear everything perfectly. "war is hell" has some of the most intense riffs and lyrics. You've heard the standard comparisons but this album draws better comparisons to bands like SNAPCASE, QUICKSAND, but with a an undeniably heavy edge.
WARSAW
s/t (2007/VINYL PASSION/MPG)
POST-PUNK. This is the material that would become JOY DIVISION. The classic WARSAW recordings from the pre-JOY DIVISION art punk combo WARSAW. This album features 17 raw, but respectable cuts, including 5 bonus tracks (constitute the band's earliest demo, from july 1977). All in all: worth it for fans of the era or obsessive, cranky, JOY DIVISION purists who have to possess every shred of music the band ever dallied with. This is a very good "punk" album and a very interesting JOY DIVISION album. CD contains 5 bonus tracks. Highly recommended.
WARSONG
ancient times (2011/SABOTAGE)
HARDCORE-PUNK. WARSONG are a relatively new band from Spain featuring members of INSOMNIO and NO ESCAPE. They deliver the goods with their debut full-length entitled "ancient times", which features 9 tracks of melodic and anthematic songs that have a definite STRIKE ANYWHERE, LIFETIME and even a DAG NASTY type of influences. The whole album easily will appeal to fans of both hardcore and punk. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
WARSONG
the caravan (2012/SABOTAGE/ERSTE THEKE)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Here we go, from the ashes of INSOMNIO and NO ESCAPE comes WARSONG with their 2nd release after their impressive "ancient times" debut. "the caravan" is 5 songs - all killer no filler (4 original songs plus a WIPERS song that hasn’t been covered to death). If you want to describe the sound of WARSONG, put together a band with a young Clif Hanger (FREEZE) fronting an all star band with the best ingredients from DAG NASTY, ALL, THE WIPERS and the mighty ADOLESCENTS. Your wettest dreams come true, if their subject is pure melodic hardcore-punk in classic 80s style. The more often you play this record the bigger it grows…and it’s damn huge right now. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

CRUST-HARDCORE. The much anticipated 2nd full-length release from WARTORN. Contained herein are 10 raging tracks of brutal hardcore with influences that range from '80s American hardcore, Scandinavian d-beat thrash and modern crustcore, including their own unique take on classics from POISON IDEA and STATE OF FEAR. Four of these tracks were previously released in 2007 as the limited edition "prey for salvation" 7" that sold-out in a matter of days, the others are totally brand new. WARTORN / PYROKLAST
split (the last line of defense) (2011/PROFANE EXISTENCE)
CRUST-HARDCORE. "the last line of defense" is a split LP between 2 of Wisconsin's most noteworthy crust-hardcore bands of today. Appleton's WARTORN fill their side with 2 lengthy virtuosos of monstrous crust power, while Madison's PYROKLAST (ex-DISCIDER) level all left standing with 6 mad blasts of hardcore thrash.
