WASTE MANAGEMENT
power abuse (2011/PAINKILLER)
HARDCORE. Originally released as a demo tape in 2010, these 6 songs were frankly too good to not be released on vinyl, and play as perfect complement to their first 7". Primitive, stripped down, early '80s inspired hardcore bringing to mind early AGNOSTIC FRONT, SSD or CAUSE FOR ALARM.
WASTED
modern world is dead (2010/COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY)
PUNK-ROCK. "modern world is dead" consists 4 new songs from these finnish punk veterans - and they show no signs of giving up, quite the opposite - these songs are more raw and pissed off than their last releases but just as catchy!
WASTED TIME
and so it goes (2009/LA FAMILIA)
HARDCORE. "and so it goes" is the limited tour-edition! The MLP contains the sold-out "s/t" 7" and "no shore" 7" (both on Grave Mistake Records). WASTED TIME play blistering tracks of violent raging fast and furious early '80s influenced hardcore, quite reminiscent of early POISON IDEA with a hint of boston hardcore influence ala NEGATIVE FX or SSD. On thick 180gr vinyl!
WASTED TIME
futility (2009/LA FAMILIA/GRAVEMISTAKE)
HARDCORE. New record from VA's own WASTED TIME! The LP version contains blistering tracks of violent raging fast and furious early '80s influenced hardcore, quite reminiscent of early POISON IDEA with a hint of boston hardcore influence ala NEGATIVE FX or SSD. "futility" also finds the band drawing from additional influences, resulting in a more massive and ferocious sound than their previous releases. You know exactly what to expect...a nonstop fast and ugly hardcore mayhem.
WASTELAND
s/t (2012/CLEAN PLATE)
HARDCORE. WASTELAND's monumental full-length has been in the works for nearly 5 years and against all odds has finally seen the light of day. This LP blurs the normal lines set within modern hardcore; here dirgy bass riffs intersect with a mournful triumph of guitar melodies in an all out sonic collapse framed by d-beats and searing vocals. The swan song of WASTELAND is finally yours in all of its glory, re-mixed, re-mastered and un-fucking-relenting. Members have been involved in AEROSOLS, SOUL CONTROL, SUBURBANITE etc.. Limited to a one time pressing of 300 on color vinyl. The LP is also accompanied by a download card that includes the entire remastered Wasteland discography.
WASTOIDS
s/t (2013/DERANGED)
PUNK-ROCK. Bottle chucking youth-punk from Toronto, Ontario; WASTOIDS rip an early 80s Boston vibe with an oi! influenced stomp. The culturally sanitized wasteland of the west end of their city breeds boredom and socially fucked mutants who puke in your venues and ruin scenes. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
WATER TORTURE
s/t (2012/KNOCHENTAPES)
POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. Raw and angry power-violence in-your-face! If you like Slap-A-Ham bands like MAN IS THE BASTARD, CROSSED OUT or bands from the newer generation, like GET DESTROYED you need to check WATER TORTURE. Limited up to 60 copies.
WATER TORTURE
shellfire (2012/DISEASED)
POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. Grinding bass and drum power-violence that lays waste to the majority (if not all) it's predecessors. Hailing from Buffalo and consisting of 2 members of INERDS, they bring you their debut 7". Limited to 500 copies, with standard fold jackets. For fans of CROSSED OUT, DESPISE YOU, M.I.T.B. - but with more grinding elements in the vein of ASSÜCK or MAGRUDERGRIND.
WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS
viven (2009/MUNSTER)
GARAGE-PUNK. Welcome to the wild and wooly world of this savage group of strapping, handsome young Spaniards. This full-length is busting at the seams with "back from the grave" worthy garage-punk. Kids all over Europe have witnessed these borrachos (drunkards, that's it) live and are now referring to them as "the craziest band we ever have sawed". Fueled equally by potent ingestibles and a sincere passion for the big, crude beat of 1966, WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS are here to make sure that the party gets started and destroyed in no time flat, in true no-count style. Limited vinyl version comes with a MP3 download card!
WAX MUSEUMS
s/t (2009/DOUCHEMASTER)
GARAGE-PUNK. Channeling the spirit of the garage-rock of the late '70s, Denton's WAX MUSEUMS offer up 14 tracks of proto-punk with fun lyrics about such topics as being locked in the mall and dirty dishes. BLACK RANDY meets THE URINALS at a Texas BBQ for the criminally insane or ANGRY SAMOANS jamming with the RAMONES. This is puuunk!
WAXAHATCHEE
cerulean salt (2013/DON GIOVANNI)
INDIE-ROCK. On her 2nd full-length record as WAXAHATCHEE, former P.S. ELIOT singer Katie Crutchfield’s compelling hyper-personal poetry is continuously crushing. On this new record, Crutchfield’s songs continue to be marked by her sharp, hooky songwriting; her striking voice and lyrics that simultaneously seem hyper-personal yet relentlessly relatable, teetering between endearingly nostaglic and depressingly dark. And whereas "american weekend" was mostly just Crutchfield and her guitar, "cerulean salt" is occassionally amped up, with a full band and higher-fi production.
WAYWARD, THE
overexposure (2007/MAGIC BULLET)
PROGRESSIVE/NOISE-ROCK. THE WAYWARD pick up where '90s avant-rockers JESUS LIZARD left off and plunge headlong into the dark unknown. Hailing from Virginia, it's kind of amazing to consider that THE WAYWARD collectively have but a mere 6 arms. Simply put, there's a lot going on with the band's music. "overexposure", their 2nd full-length stands to put THE WAYWARD on the map for all progressive-rock fans. Being released exclusively as a very special LP-CD combo at super sweet combined price, it features 10 songs capturing the pure essence of a band at their best. Great stuff if you're up for the older Touch & Go sound.
WE
Tension & release (2008/RODEOSTAR)
ROCK. After touring for 3 years around the world to promote WE’s last international release “Smugglers” WE is back stronger, meaner, leaner and grittier than ever. In spring of 2007 WE went into the studio with a batch of freshly written new songs. “Tension & release” is the album that define all that WE stands for in the rock’n’roll world. 11 songs that defies categorization and musical genre confinements. WE are free spirits and "Tension & release" reflects that in a perfect way. WE shows that they grew up in the '80s and that WE lends their inspiration to the '80s metal scene as much as to the '70s rock scene. WE’s “Tension & release” is a full journey through rock ’n’ roll music of the last 40 years. “Tension & Release” is an album that demands attention and reactions. Be with it now!
WE ARE IDOLS
powerless (2012/HASIOK)
HARDCORE. "powerless" is the 2nd LP of a Wrocław band WE ARE IDOLS. It contains 11 new tracks. WE ARE IDOLS still brings their own still of old d-beat influenced hardcore. Right inbetween THE NOW-DENIAL, MOTÖRHEAD, THE STOOGES and EYEHATEGOD - seriously. Lyrics without puns, although sad and cruel. All of them on the matter of struggling of consciousness forced in human flesh with brute urges. Grab some cheap whiskey and a handfull of prozac, it’s gonna be really grim. Comes with nice gatefold-sleeve.
WE ARE INVISIBLE
Giant (2006/POISONFREE)
INDIE-ROCK.
