WAX MUSEUMS
s/t (2009/DOUCHEMASTER)
GARAGE-PUNK. Channeling the spirit of the garage-rock of the late '70s, Denton's WAX MUSEUMS offer up 14 tracks of proto-punk with fun lyrics about such topics as being locked in the mall and dirty dishes. BLACK RANDY meets THE URINALS at a Texas BBQ for the criminally insane or ANGRY SAMOANS jamming with the RAMONES. This is puuunk!
WAXAHATCHEE
cerulean salt (2013/DON GIOVANNI)
INDIE-ROCK. On her 2nd full-length record as WAXAHATCHEE, former P.S. ELIOT singer Katie Crutchfield’s compelling hyper-personal poetry is continuously crushing. On this new record, Crutchfield’s songs continue to be marked by her sharp, hooky songwriting; her striking voice and lyrics that simultaneously seem hyper-personal yet relentlessly relatable, teetering between endearingly nostaglic and depressingly dark. And whereas "american weekend" was mostly just Crutchfield and her guitar, "cerulean salt" is occassionally amped up, with a full band and higher-fi production.
WAYWARD, THE
overexposure (2007/MAGIC BULLET)
PROGRESSIVE/NOISE-ROCK. THE WAYWARD pick up where '90s avant-rockers JESUS LIZARD left off and plunge headlong into the dark unknown. Hailing from Virginia, it's kind of amazing to consider that THE WAYWARD collectively have but a mere 6 arms. Simply put, there's a lot going on with the band's music. "overexposure", their 2nd full-length stands to put THE WAYWARD on the map for all progressive-rock fans. Being released exclusively as a very special LP-CD combo at super sweet combined price, it features 10 songs capturing the pure essence of a band at their best. Great stuff if you're up for the older Touch & Go sound.
WE
Tension & release (2008/RODEOSTAR)
ROCK. After touring for 3 years around the world to promote WE’s last international release “Smugglers” WE is back stronger, meaner, leaner and grittier than ever. In spring of 2007 WE went into the studio with a batch of freshly written new songs. “Tension & release” is the album that define all that WE stands for in the rock’n’roll world. 11 songs that defies categorization and musical genre confinements. WE are free spirits and "Tension & release" reflects that in a perfect way. WE shows that they grew up in the '80s and that WE lends their inspiration to the '80s metal scene as much as to the '70s rock scene. WE’s “Tension & release” is a full journey through rock ’n’ roll music of the last 40 years. “Tension & Release” is an album that demands attention and reactions. Be with it now!
WE ARE IDOLS
powerless (2012/HASIOK)
HARDCORE. "powerless" is the 2nd LP of a Wrocław band WE ARE IDOLS. It contains 11 new tracks. WE ARE IDOLS still brings their own still of old d-beat influenced hardcore. Right inbetween THE NOW-DENIAL, MOTÖRHEAD, THE STOOGES and EYEHATEGOD - seriously. Lyrics without puns, although sad and cruel. All of them on the matter of struggling of consciousness forced in human flesh with brute urges. Grab some cheap whiskey and a handfull of prozac, it’s gonna be really grim. Comes with nice gatefold-sleeve.
WE ARE INVISIBLE
Giant (2006/POISONFREE)
INDIE-ROCK.
WE ARE WOLVES
Total magique (2008/DARE TO CARE)
DANCE-PUNK. On their sophomore album, WE ARE WOLVES use mystical powers to bring their sound to a new level of auditive threat. “Total Magique” unleashes the raw sounds of the trio in a mesmerizing whirlwind of electro psychedelic kraut punk. Started as an “art project” in 2000, WE ARE WOLVES left their mother’s den of Montreal, Canada in support of such acts as THE GOSSIP, DFA1979, ... TRAIL OF DEAD, and the (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY. The trio creates music that stands out from the masses and expands the threshold of what a musical act can be. Can you feel the magique?
WE CAME AS ROMANS
to plant a seed (2012/EQUAL VISION)
METALCORE. Michigan's WE CAME AS ROMANS started the way most other bands do - just a group of friends that wanted to play music and have fun together. "to plant a seed" is their 1st full-length on Equal Vision Records. For fans of A PLEA FOR PURGING and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. Colored vinyl comes with one additional track.
WE LIVE IN TRENCHES
modern hex (2009/P. TRASH)
POST-PUNK. When the walls close in and everything implodes, this is your fix of reality! ”modern hex” is an attention-seeking atom bomb ready to explode through the plasticity of your life. Filtering the pounding bassline and shattering drums of UNSANE and the stoic sonic brutality of FUCKED UP, adding some galloping speed, FLIPPER's insane distortion and the craving urge of early Touch & Go bands like THE JESUS LIZARD. This ain't sheet music but the noise emanating from a palpitating sick heart that passionately smashes against a wall.
WE NEED TO TALK
it's not us, it's you (2008/IFB)
HARDCORE. Nine tracks of blistering, female-fronted, raging pissed hardcore that goes from grinding assault to pulverizing heaviness. Sounds like SCROTUM GRINDER and LEFT FOR DEAD had 5 children and sent them to live in the grimy swamps of Louisiana. Has a gorgeous letter pressed cover with a nice big booklet.
WE THE PEOPLE
Time to operate (2007/STOP WHINING, START WINNING)

WE THE PEOPLE blend old-style american hardcore with UK-influenced street-punk to create a raw sound akin to that of 86 MENTALITY or even old BLITZ or 4 SKINS.
