la sexorcisto: devil music vol.1 (2012/MUSIC ON VINYL)
METAL/ROCK. "la sexorcisto: devil music vol.1" was both a critical and commercial success for WHITE ZOMBIE. The album's sound is a mix of groove-metal and funk-metal with lots of b-movie samples. Tactless and continuously shocking, lyricist Rob Zombie reveals blatant tales of muscle cars, sleazy encounters, and Fangoria-mustered fantasy, clearly paying homage to vintage trash culture. Weak appetites for raunchy, tongue-in-cheek decadence need not apply! Thick 180gr audiophile vinyl!
this is exile (2008/METAL BLADE)
DEATHCORE. The new album by extreme metal sensation WHITECHAPEL! Every track on this album just seethes evil, as the metal is ratcheted up to crushing degrees, and the vocals explode through each song like a cluster bomb. There isn’t a weak track on here. "this is exile" is a must-have for any fan of a slightly more aggressive form of metal. WHITECHAPEL hits each track perfectly. Deathcore to the max! Equally as intense as JOB FOR A COWBOY!

DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL. Recorded live to air at PBS FM Melbourne the band at the time considered these songs unfinished or works in progress when they were captured. Later on the songs got released on tape and now finally on vinyl. Both songs (~20min.) got pressed on 45rpm for a maximum sound (mastered by James Plotkin). WHITEHORSE's doom is of the monstrously slow, detuned, feedbacking, glassthroat variety that so many love, and so many others loathe. If you like CORRUPTED, KHANATE or MOSS you will praise WHITEHORSE. Limited to 300 copies!
WHITEHORSE / BATILLUS
DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL. Two heavyweights team up for one record. Australia's WHITEHORSE deliever 1 long track of their brutal corrupted influenced sludge/doom, filled with strange noises. BATILLUS from New York do 2 tracks of their cold post-metal influenced doom, filled with synthnoises and ultra brutal vocals. Together 33min. of apocalyptic doom and sludge. Vinyl got mastered by James Plotkin.
WHITEHORSE / CROSS
split (2012/BLIND DATE)
SLUDGE/DOOM/BLACK-METAL. WHITEHORSE from Melbourne, Australia with 1 song in vein of CORRUPTED. WHITEHORSE captured a sound that is light years beyond and behind anything else out there. If you have any interest in the heaviest end of the doom-metal and sludge spectrum, find this, own this, worship this. CROSS from Seattle, Usa are members of BOOK OF BLACK EARTH and WORMWOOD with their 1st record materialized on vinyl. CROSS is heavily pissed full energy loaded black-metal with a descent sludgecore influence.
asceticists 2006 (2008/SUSAN LAWLY)
AVANTGARDE/EXPERIMENTAL. WHITEHOUSE follow up 2003’s "bird seed" with another set of songs notable for their scouring, attack-dog energy and relentlessly hectoring lyrical style. It’s their 1st album since the departure from the band of taboo-tickling American Peter Sotos, but his absence is noticeable only in that the album lacks one of the bleak spoken-word collages that were his stock-in-trade and that disrupted the flow of "bird seed" and 2001’s "cruise". Otherwise, the record is of a piece with its predecessors, evincing a scalpel-sharp intelligence and a harmonic complexity that belie WHITEHOUSE’s reputation as thuggish purveyors of bludgeoning aural assaults.
great white death (2010/VERY FRIENDLY)
AVANTGARDE/EXPERIMENTAL. Reissue of William Bennett's 1984 album, considered by many to be among his most essential early works and a pinnacle of '80s power electronics. Despite being derivative of the noise created by earlier groups THROBBING GRISTLE and SPK, WHITEHOUSE sought to further explore the themes of pornographic and violent sexual imagery explored by those groups, matching them with an allegory of intense but skillfully crafted sound.
WHO CALLS SO LOUD
EMO/SCREAMO-HARDCORE. Fresh on the heels of their eponymous 2x10" release, this Bay-Area band has returned with an introspective and powerful new record. With ex-members of PORTAITS OF THE PAST and FUNERAL DINER you can get an idea of the sound, but this band is more diverse, intense and mature than anything their former bands achieved. Emotional hardcore filtered through experimental soundscapes and driven by pounding instrumentation and vocals.
WHOLE IN THE HEAD
them and us (2011/WARM BATH)
HARDCORE. After powerful 7" split and comp appearances, WHOLE IN THE HEAD from England have released their final 7" of compelling, brutal, and relevant anarcho-hardcore. Some of the most intelligent and devastating music that has come out in recent history. Over the top hardcore as punishing as DROP DEAD is met with the extensive investigation of the song topics one would expect from ACTIVE MINDS.
ruiner (2012/BLACK PANDA)
PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE/METAL. Atlanta post-noise-hardcore-metal trio WHORES has a name that is sure to offend some - but those who are left will take their post-hardcore noise-rock right in step. These 5 crushingly heavy tracks were recorded with Kyle Spence (Harvey Milk). "ruiner" walks where nightmares are made. No, it doesn’t walk: it stomps on skulls. It’s full of enough vitriol to get an angsty teen to headbang himself into whiplash, but it’s also so tight, so focused, that you’d guess these guys had been at it for decades. For fans of HELMET, THE JESUS LIZARD, PISSED JEANS and HARVEY MILK.
WHY BE SOMETHING THAT YOU'RE NOT
detroit hardcore '79-'85 by tony rettmann (2010/REVELATION)
HARDCORE/PUNK. In the early '70, Detroit was the musical hub of America. Everything from the chart topping sounds of Motown Records to the vicious proto-punk of THE STOOGES was being brewed out there and it seemed like there was no end in sight. But by the '80s, the city was both a physical and cultural wasteland. "why be something that you're not" chronicles the 1st wave of Detroit hardcore from its origins in the late '70s to its demise in the mid '80s. Through a combination of oral history and extensive imagery, the book proves that even though the Southern California beach towns might have created the look and style of hardcore-punk, it was the Detroit scene - along with a handful of other cities across the country - that cultivated the music's grassroots aesthetic before most cultural hot spots around the globe even knew what the music was about. The book includes interviews with members of THE FIX, VIOLENT APATHY, NEGATIVE APPROACH, NECROS, PAGANS, BORED YOUTH, and L-SEVEN along with other people who had a hand in the early hardcore scene like Ian MacKaye, Tesco Vee and Dave Stimson - 256 pages at all!
field II (2012/HARDWARE)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Follow up to their 1st award winning full-length from 2011. The WICCANS continue to pump out one of the toughest but simultaneously rocking and raging tunes you'll hear this year. This hardcore-punk at its peak! All black vinyl, no colored ones - limited to 500 copies.
smile more (2012/DIRT CULT)

WIDESPREAD BLOODSHED / BRODY'S MILITIA
split (2003/SOUND POLLUTION)
GRINDCORE/HARDCORE-PUNK. BRODY’S MILITIA deal 11 tracks of thrash n' roll debauchery. Bulldozing hardcore at it's best with hooks and beatings a plenty, plus a couple GG Allin covers for good measure. WIDESPREAD BLOODSHED blasts off 25 tracks of hook-laden rapid fire hardcore that brings to mind the legendary NO COMMENT or INTENSE DEGREE in their prime, but faster! These Swedes are the new kings of hyper speed hardcore thrash! More great cover artwork by Fumio.
