POST-HARDCORE. Originally issued on 7" in 1997, THE LOCUST's 1st GSL release has sold over 15000 vinyl copies to date! Recorded with the band's original four-piece lineup, the songs are a primitive yet frightening indication of things to come. Now, the 9 original songs have now been digitally remastered and the sonic improvement is drastic. CD features 2 re-mastered bonus tracks, both of which were issued on very limited compilations in the mid '90s and have been unavailable since.

PROGRESSIVE-METAL. Instru-metal/progressive act LOINCLOTH formed following the demise of death/doom act CONFESSOR and were joined by members of BREADWINNER and HONNOR ROLE to round out the lineup. Punishing riffs and a mean rhythm section were all they were interested in - no acoustic parts, no pointless leads, no repetition and no vocals! To them, metal was getting punched in the face by sinister riffs while a tight rhythm section kicked them with counter-beats to the gut! The quartet reject the use of vocals to present a riff-laden brand of metal akin to that of DON CABALLERO, RUSSIAN CIRCLES and DISRHYTHMIA. Thick 180gr vinyl.

NOISE-METAL. Das Debutalbum des Quintetts aus Dallas fuer Metal Blade, auf dem es eine unglaubliche Dynamik versprueht und sich unaufhaltsam nach vorne schiebt. Zwischen nervenaufreibendem Screamo, vertracktem Noisecore und entspannten, cleanen Passagen bahnt sich dieses 8 Song starke Monstrum unaufhaltsam einen Weg durch die ganze Einheitssuppe. Neben den kraftvollen Gitarren, die ihr staccato-riffing gnadenlos runterreissen, und der gewaltigen und bessessenen Rhythmussektion, ist es vor allem Saenger Michael Hall, der durch sein Facettenreichtum den Songs ihre Marke verleiht. Das Spektrum reicht dabei von gnadenlosem Screamo, ueber tiefstes Growlen, bis hin zu sehr entspanntem, cleanem Gesang, wie er gleich beim Opener ''The beginning' beweist. Aber auch die Vielfalt der einzelnen Parts laesst zu keiner Sekunde Routine aufkommen. Dennoch klingt alles wie aus einem Guss und ist weit von Mathcore oder anderen frickeligen Spielarten entfernt. Keine Frage, hier handelt es sich um Metal der modernen Art. Ein sehr atmosphaerisches, aufreibendes und schlichtweg brutales Album!

PUNK-ROCK. When REFUSED broke up in 1998, frontman Dennis Lxyzen started two projects, one being THE (International) NOISE CONSPIRACY, and the other being a solo project called THE LOST PATROL BAND. 'automatic' is tighter and a bit punkier than the last one even though pretty much every song has a great pop hook to it. Dennis says that it is a celebration to the punk rock that he first discovered in his teens with bands like BUZZCOCKS, THE JAM, RAMONES and so on but also an attempt to recreate some of the more amazing and obscure bands that he has fallen in love with over the years like PROTEX, POINTED STICKS, CARPETTES, THE KIDS and so on. LOST PATROL BAND featuring nowadays members of THE (International) NOISE CONSPIRACY, THE VICIOUS, and THE REGULATIONS.
