SINGER/SONGWRITER. DENNIS LYXZÈN’s solo project THE LOST PATROL and the 2003-released album 'Songs About Running Away' is musically far away from what you’re used to hear from Dennis Lyxzén, the front man in THE (INETNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY and previously REFUSED. Together with a bunch of friends (David Sandström (REFUSED/THE FACER), Stefan Granberg (RANDY) Lisa Miskovsky and others, Dennis went in to the studio and recorded twelve tracks. 'Songs About Running Away' is the result, the follow up to the debut album 'Songs In The Key Of Resistance' which were released on Startracks a couple of years ago.

Die Jungs aus Alabama scheinen schwer im Kommen zu sein und spielten in den USA bereits mit vielen big Bands wie THURSDAY oder CAVE IN. Musikalisch bewegen sich LOVE IS RED einerseits auf dem wuetenden Hardcore/Hatecore- Pfad von MADBALL oder HATEBREED, andererseits auch auf der modernen Emo/Screamo Schiene. Diese Gegensaetze stehen sich in den 10 Songs schroff gegenueber, werden aber gekonnt verbunden. Sehr vielschichtig bauen die Herren ueberraschende Mittelparts mit Sprechgesang oder geniale Gitarrenrock-Parts mit ein, die sich im naechsten Moment zum harten Moshpart oder zum leicht metallischen Breakdown entwickeln. Dabei legen LIR immer Wert auf eine praegnante Gitarrenlinie und ein Songwriting, das Dich mitreisst und das nie langweilig oder einfaeltig wird. Duestere Texte ueber Alkoholismus, Scheidung, Beziehungen und die Scene passen dazu hervorragend. Gelungen!

PUNK-ROCK. "build & burn", THE LOVED ONES follow up to "keep your heart", is the product of over 2 years on the road, the addition of 2 new band members and the in-studio partnership between long-time friends. Hints of Americana rock 'n' roll with expanded instrumentation lay amongst the album's 10 tracks, highlighting a true progression in the band's sound and songwriting. The addition of Dave and Chris (both ex-THE EXPLOSION), on guitar and bass respectively, solidified the lineup moving towards the creation of "build & burn". These guys have been at it for over 10 years, bringing a '90s style of chugging hardcore sounding like it could have come straight out of Syracuse a decade ago, akin to the sound of ANOTHER VICTIM.

1372 overton park (2009/UNIVERSAL)
PUNK-ROCK. LUCERO's 6th studio album and major label debut, "1372 overton park", was produced by Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem) and features horn arrangements by legendary Memphis session player Jim Spake, marking a decided turn toward the Memphis soul sound that has long informed the band's records from afar.
