HARDCORE. Formed in 2000 by the singer of Boston's celebrated streetpunk band THE TROUBLE and backed by original members of Boston's groundbreaking hardcore band AMERICAN NIGHTMARE and now-Virgin Records punkers THE EXPLOSION, PANIC was one of the fastest, angriest bands in the city. They released 2 7"s on Bridge Nine, and broke up in mid 2002. Four years later, PANIC is back. After playing a reunion show in Holland and getting back on their feet, they've reformed and to support this rebirth, Bridge Nine has collected their now out-of-print 7"s and 3-song demo on one Album. All of the original, out-of-print classic tracks can now be heard on this records.

'gothic' was THE album responsible for a whole sub genre of metal, Gothic doom metal, upon its release in 1991. Creating a more melancholy & atmospheric form of doom metal, with the introduction of the distinctive & unmistakable PARADISE LOST lead guitar melodies, the band was quickly propelled to the forefront of pioneering extreme metal bands of the early nineties. The ‘gothic’ album was recorded in late 1990/early 1991 at the renowned Academy Studios in Yorkshire; a studio responsible for classic recordings from bands such as My Dying Bride, Anathema, Cradle of Filth, Bal Sagoth, among many others. Along with the album, this special edition contains a very rare video performance from a 1991 PARADISE LOST show (that evening supported by MY DYING BRIDE & PITCH SHIFTER) & features classic tracks from their first 2 albums.

PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE. Some of you might remember this band from southern Germany from their split LP with STAGNATION'S END. On this 12 track album the three-piece has increased their brutal and devastating sound, and the title defintely speaks for itself. Dark midtempo hardcore with desperate, gloomy, and atmospheric parts, yet some furious and grind elements, which got fueled with a lot of aggression and compassion, and which reminds on HIS HERO IS GONE, old NEUROSIS and the typical Bremer sound of the `90s. The mad and throaty vocals with critical lyrics completes the musical side of this release. The Songs were recorded at the famous Kuschelrock Studio in Bremen - you know how this piece makes your ears bleed! The artwork is outstanding as well. The CD comes in a DVD-Cover and a thick and stylish booklet. This is the apocalyptic sound for people, who tend to say that black is their favorite color. Here you get the real darkness! [PK #041]
