CHAMPION's style is most definitely rooted in late 1980's hardcore with added melodic flavor, similar to that of TURNING POINT, while BETRAYED has defined their sound somewhere between the aforementioned bands and seminal D.C. hardcore punk legends MINOR THREAT and EMBRACE. PUNK-ROCK. For the 1st time ever, CHANNEL 3's original 1981 demos are collected on this 13 track LP. These are the recordings that gained the band the attention of Posh Boy Records - and the rest, as they say, was punk-history. Included are songs that became CH3 classics, previously unreleased tracks, and a WHO cover thrown in for good measure. This LP is a great snapshot of this early SoCal band in their formative stage: a must for any CHANNEL 3 fan. LP version includes CD version as well.

Seattle via Austin co-ed post punk no funk, minus the skinny ties (and or any fashion senseibility whatsoever) plus a side of Fall/Sonic Youth/Mission Of Burma. An answer to the prayers of lonely record nerds everywhere. At one time or another this band has featured members of The Shins, The Intelligence, Scared Of Chaka, various Sub Pop and Seattle Weekly employees and probably some others we can’t think of at the moment. The Charming Snakes have shared the stage with the likes of The Shins, The EX, Mudhoney, Pretty Girls Make Graves and Dead Moon to name just a few.
