[the] city screams my name (2006/ROADRUNNER)
PUNK-ROCK. THE CREETINS from northern Germany play honest and ''straight-to-the-point'' punk-rock with catchy melodies and harmonies that get stuck in your ears! These three young men from Kiel have been taught by the great masters of the punk-rock highschool like the RAMONES, MISFITS and even FACE TO FACE. They have also been influenced by the early '80s Hardcore-Punk scene with bands like the Faction or BLACK FLAG. But there are steadily new influences on THE CREETINS, so don't expect stagnation during their 13 highly hitting songs!
the greed machine.. (2002/SKULD)
ANARCHO-PUNK. This DoLP features all the releases that CRESS has done. The "monuments" LP, their side of the split 10" with DOOM, the "from violence to consumerism" 7" and 20min. of unreleased songs! Soundwise you have to take the infamous old-school anarcho-punk and chanted hard-hitting slogans and fuse it to the modern punk sound and you have CRESS - Slow, heavy and menacing mayhem riding along the lines of ANTISECT, FLUX OF PINK INDIANS with a punch of KILLING JOKE, dark tripped-out sound effects and keyboard, loads of anger aimed at the desecrators of our earth. Punk! Comes with poster and lyric booklet with lots of graphics!
GRINDCORE. Exalting all that's perverted and aggressively imbecilic, CRETIN combine blasting proto-grindcore and congenitally deformed death metal in an inbred sonic ambush that turns back the clock and grinds like it's 1989. "Freakery" sodomizes the senses with a lo-fi grind aesthetic, and begs you to enter the strange, freakish world of CRETIN.
HARDCORE-PUNK. CRIATURAS from Texas are awesome. They’re in the darker hardcore-punk realm, crusty late '80s-sounding but the tracks are total bursts with quick solos. This Spanish singing outfit has packed in some scorching tunes on this release. Angry, female vocals that pierce right through your soul backed by a band that knows what the hell they are doing. DESKONOCIDOS are more mid-tempo than CRIATURAS, but the sound is spot on for what they’re both doing. Limited to 500 copies US-version.
aranas en el corazon (2011/LENGUA ARMADA)
HARDCORE-PUNK. This is yet another Austin-based hardcore band that released a demo sometime last year. This 4 song slab of catchy hardcore-punk music makes up for that. There have been many interesting bands and sounds coming out of Texas for the past couple years, and it seems this band is no exception to that. Harsh, ferocious, fast, other assorted adjectives. This band has members of DESKONOCIDOS and the vocalist screeches harmoniously in Spanish.
alone in a dream (2011/LIFE'S A RAPE)
HARDCORE. CRIME DESIRE's newest effort, the 5 song MLP "alone in a dream" marks a further step in the straight forward, gruff vocalled, riff driven hardcore direction the band took on their "every day in chains" release. With clear nods to DISCHARGE, ANTISECT, coupled with a healthy dose of '80s death-rock, "alone in a dream" will prove to be a revelation for those who appreciate traditional hardcore with a darker atmosphere. CRIME DESIRE has a history of going to great lengths to create hardcore records which are as idiosyncratic as they are abrasive, of which "alone in a dream" is their latest and greatest excursion.
every day in chains (2010/LIFE'S A RAPE)
HARDCORE. CRIME DESIRE's "every day in chains" is a 4 song MLP of dark, blistering hardcore, seething with social contempt and morbid imagery. Building off the foundation of the band's 2008 debut, CRIME DESIRE injects to their previous CITIZENS ARREST meets DIE KREUZEN sound a dose of '80s UK hardcore. Taking cues from groups like ANTISECT, giving their trudging, brooding songs a sense of urgency and adrenaline while maintaining a dark atmosphere. "every day in chains" is truly a sonically devastating work.
id music to combat the super ego (2006/LIFE'S A RAPE)
HARDCORE. After spending about a year working on getting this to look and sound exactly the way it should, the CRIME DESIRE's LP ''id music to combat the superego'' is ready to go. What's the music like? Influences come from groups like GAUZE, GISM, INTEGRITY, RORSCHACH, SIEGE and tons of others. Fast and angry hardcore the way it should be! The 10 song full-length comes in a thick jacket/vinyl.
in lucifer's grip (2007/LIFE'S A RAPE)
HARDCORE. CRIME DESIRE’s "in lucifer’s grip" is their most focused and ferocious offering yet. With this release CRIME DESIRE brings 5 tracks of dark, blazing hardcore informed by the likes of DIE KREUZEN, CITIZEN'S ARREST and a mixed bag of international punk. Those already familiar with CRIME DESIRE should expect a much more violent vocal approach than on their previous works, and a lyrical obsession with all things anti-Christian. In these times when vapid retro US-hardcore and played out wacky thrash liter punk record bins, "in lucifer’s grip" stands defiant against the trends as a timeless piece of violent hardcore.
s/t (2008/LIFE'S A RAPE)
HARDCORE. Take the slow songs off classic '80s hardcore records, mix with the doom and gloom of early batcave, throw in heavy doses of SAMHAIN and even a hint of INTEGRITY, then watch too many cult exploitation movies and top the whole mess off with bleak misanthropic and satanic lyrical themes and you might come up with something that sounds a bit like CRIME DESIRE's latest outing. This album is an unrepentantly midpaced, plodding, dark hardcore record with huge production. If you're in the market for some doom and gloom, this might just be the bum-out you've been looking for. The CD version features the "in lucifer’s grip" 7", "id music to combat the superego" LP and unreleased compilation songs as bonus tracks, adding up to about 60min. of music!

CRIME IN STEREO
love (2007/RUN FOR COVER)
MELODIC-HARDCORE. Coming off of their debut album for Nitro, Long Island, NY's CRIME IN STEREO return with more of their exploasive mixture. The 4 tracks are a nut kickin' mix of old-school and youth-crew hardcore and a huge hint of more modern, melodic-hardcore styles. On these 4 tracks they're mixing the hard vibe of KILL YOUR IDOLS with the poppy anthems of GORILLA BISCUITS and THE MOVIELIFE. Eyecathing artwort, indeed.
CRIME IN STEREO
selective wreckage (2008/BRIDGE NINE)
MELODIC-HARDCORE. Featuring 10 previously unreleased tracks, "selective wreckage" is not a b-sides collection. This is an audio documentation of a band's evolution from 2006's melodic outburst "the troubled stateside" to 2007's critically acclaimed opus, "crime in stereo is dead". This release gives fans new music to continue the debate over this band's extensive evolution and back-catalog, as well as further the interest in this enigmatic Long Island hardcore-punk band. Colored vinyl version includes free CD of this entire album.
CRIME IN STEREO
the troubled stateside (2008/BRIDGE NINE/NITRO)

With immediate comparisons to influences like DAG NASTY, EMBRACE, KID DYNAMITE and GORILLA BISCUITS, CRIME IN STEREO does justice to the music they love.
