HARDCORE. Dark and bleak hardcore cornered in metallic-rock, but thundering with determined intent. Fueled by the upbeat energy of Japanese hardcore, but drawing longer mid-tempo compositions of shouted despair, pounded drum beats and screaming guitars influenced by UK bands such as ANTISECT and AMEBIX. The 7" includes a rollicking cover of AMEBIX's "no sanctuary". Crow has been on and off the hardcore scene for almost 2 decades, with numerous releases in Japan. This was their first US release in 2001 and has been out-of-print for years. The cover has been re-worked for this re-release and the 7" issued on limited to 400 red vinyl.

DOOM/SLUDGE-HARDCORE. After various split releases (with BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS and BLACK FREIGHTER) and compilation appearances, CROWSKIN come up with their 1st full-length album, once again exploring the depths of slow, heavy and brutal sludge and doom. The record delivers 4 lenghthy tracks that pend from super-sick slo-mo brutality to bulldozer grooves, from vast melancholic elegies to weird noise freak outs and even some thrash outbursts displaying the hardcore background of these punkers. Enjoy the feeling of being buried by a slow flooding, yet unstoppable lava of thick, black sound!

DOOM/SLUDGE-HARDCORE. Two heavy-weight doomcore acts from the empty, hopeless landscapes of Eastern Germany team up for a split that holds the balance between brutality and depressive bitterness. Leipzig's BLACK FREIGHTER combine the brutal complexity of COALESCE with the sheer slow heavyness of HIS HERO IS GONE and thus immure the listener with a massive wall of sound, causing feelings of isolation and vastness. Filling the void that the split up of PERTH EXPRESS and MEN IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT WEAPON left. Potdam's CROWSKIN, known from their split LP with B.SON and last year's "harmony of death" 7" deliver feedback-soaked ugly pieces of sludge with - even rawer and uglier than ever with 3 painful slugde dirges over which the ferocious vocals.

HARDCORE. This thrashcore band comes back with another 7" full of seething NYC-hardcore inspired tunes. With a new guitar player in the band we see an even faster band with a slight metallic edge to the guitar work. A handful of the tracks are rerecorded songs from their original demo. Another great release from a great band.

HARDCORE. CRUCIAL CAUSE is a new hardcore group from the Bay-Area in California that is a more punkier version of YOUTH OF TODAY, just take out the straight-edge part and there you go! 6 songs and all of them rage, fast and played pretty good and still a little sloppy and thats a good thing! So take ANTIDOTE, THE ABUSED that brings the early '80s hardcore sound and cross that with modern day greats from the Bay like SECOND OPINION!

HARDCORE. These CRUCIAL CAUSE tracks are left over tracks from the "Try our luck" recording session, so anyone who has heard that record knows what to expect here. Great thrashy hardcore with a strong NYC-hardcore feel to it. RAT DAMAGE have a more mid-tempo approach and are rockin' in that SICK PLEASURE kind of way but with gruff, throaty vocals that bring bands from the Midwest to mind.

SXE-HARDCORE. Before GOOD CLEAN FUN even tried to tackle the straight-edge hardcore humor scene with open arms, this late '80s New Jersey band had the whole hardcore scene holding their bellies from laughing so hard.
