ANARCHO-PUNK. The title translates into: "however long it takes". This is their 2nd album and it was really worth the wait. Raging straightforward fast and melodic punk with some of the best female vocals you can come across!! The style of singing reminds a lot of this typical french "chanson-style" singing. Nothing really changed, but the production is more powerful than on their last already outstanding release. Comes in a nice 4-coloured sleeve with a 4 coloured booklet - lyrix are translated in english for those who are not familiar with french.

la vie revee (2006/MALOKA)
ANARCHO-PUNK. This is their 3rd full-length and it was really worth the wait. Energetic and raging punk with catchy and melodic parts, nice female vocals with that outstanding typical french "chanson-style" singing. The personal and political lyrics are well written, too. Nothing really changed, but the production of the 10 new tracks is more powerful than on their last already outstanding releases. Soon to be a classic album.

D-BEAT HARDCORE/PUNK. Sowohl optisch, wie musikalisch sind die Jungs aus Suedkalifornien stark DISCHARGE-beeinflusst, auch wenn andere englische Einfluesse, wie etwa die von GBH, ebenfalls nicht von der Hand zu weisen sind. Auch produktionstechnisch geht man einen Schritt zurueck, knallt den Gesang und die hallbeladene Sologitarre in den Vordergrund und belaesst alles sehr roh und kratzig. Der verzerrte Bass und das trockene Schlagzeug tun ihr uebriges. Ich denke, man kann sich den Sound vorstellen. Textlich natuerlich ebenfalls sehr kritisch, gegen Krieg, Religion und Gesellschaft, MOTORHEAD wir auch gerne gehoert und die Nieten auf den Jacken sitzen bombenfest. Klingt nach alten Punktagen irgendwo in Schweden.
LACKEY DIE

HARDCORE. Now this is something unique and very cool. LACKEY DIE were the 1st hardcore band from the small city of Charlottesville, Virginia. In 1984 they recorded 6 songs for a 7" and in 1985 they went to the now-famous Inner Ear Studios to record with Don Zientara. This session produced 3 songs for the compilation and several outtakes. For various reasons, the 7" and compilation they recorded for were never released! This 7" contains 8 songs. All songs have been tediously restored and remastered from the original reel-to-reels. This release is fully authorized and is limited to 500 copies with hand-screened sleeves.

PUNK-ROCK. To love THE LADIES is to hate THE LADIES, and here are six more damn fine reasons to do both. On their 4th 7", Richmond's THE LADIES bring blistering tracks of sleazy and infectious punk-rock gems drenched in early DWARVES worship, with a little extra dose of melody mixed in for good measure. PUNK-ROCK. "trashed" is the 3rd 7" from THE LADIES. Between the previous released 7"s they recorded this item. This one was the catchier of the 2 7's opted for a more bash and crash faster punk sound like the DWARVES, BULEMICS and ZEKE and this record focused more on the band making more rousing catchy punk tunes. Still in the vein of the tunes the band has done to date - its just got this DICTATORS, DEAD BOYS sort of catchy vibe to it, also comparable to the BRUTAL KNIGHTS.

ELECTRO-POP. LADYTRON release "velocifero", their follow up to "the witching hour". Formed in Britain in 1998, LADYTRON have created a sound that is icy yet hot, poppy but sardonic and melancholy. On "velocifero", their 4th studio album, LADYTRON continue their '80s noise revival and rockier sound they began to experiment with on 2005’s "the witching hour". This time around they add more noise with hints of '90s era DEPECHE MODE, especially on lead track “black cat”.
