You'll get 5 tracks from the likes of proud Aussies INXS, Olivia Newton-John and Air Supply are belted out with the boisterous fun-loving style that only the GIMMES know how to pull off. POP-PUNK. In keeping with the theme of their last release, ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES decided to tackle the proud musical tradition of another country, rather than a specific genre. This time they set their sights on the land of the rising sun, Japan. What a pairing. Japan is the birthplace of Karaoke for Pete's sake. And the Gimmes are the most renowned cover band around, if not for their actual musical chops, at least for their side endeavors (NO FX, LAG WAGON, SWINGIN' UTTRERS, FOO FIGHTERS).

On their 4th album "take a break", the band (comprised of NO FX, LAG WAGON, SWINGIN' UTTERS, and ex-NO USE FOR A NAME/FOO FIGHTERS members) lets their r&b roots shine and set to perfecting their break dancing moves to the sounds generated by their ghetto blasters. Songs like Seal's "crazy", R. Kelly's "i believe i can fly", and the Jackson Five's "i'll be there" all get the Gimme Gimmes treatment with hilarious results.

PUNK-ROCK. Since late '80s legendary Melbourne rockers THE MEANIES have created themselves a name for their furious and straight attacking songs. Mixing with greatness the simplicity of RAMONES, the perfect melodies of the BEACH BOYS, the beautifully annoying distortion and loudness of Australian dirtiest rock and the roughness of crudest grunge-rock. "the meanie of life" is an album which was originally released only on CD and exclusively in Australia in 1993, and is now, for the 1st time, released on Bang's vinyl deluxe edition with gatefold cover.

HARDCORE. MEANTIME hail from the humid underbelly that is Daytona Beach. What they bring to the table is their own metal flavor of mid-tempo hardcore that is reminiscent of the '90s era in sound and ethics. This combination quickly gained MEANTIME a strong audience throughout the Florida hardcore community. Their debut self-titled 7" is only a brief demonstration of the blunt force that is MEANTIME.

HARDCORE. "reality or nothing" is the 1st full-length release since 1999. MEANWHILE never wavered from the trademark heavy hardcore that sweden and themselves as part of the old-guard, are known for. "reality or nothing" contains 14 songs of loud, proud, uncompromising hardcore. This is the band at their rawest and most aggressive. HARDCORE. MEANWHILE's 1st release - this CD only album from 1994, put to vinyl. Mean, inyourface heavy hardcore. This was originally released just after their album under the name DISCHANGE and features 14 pounding raw tracks of DISCHARGE influenced Swedish d-beat hardcore. Members were/are also in: TOTALITÄR, DISFEAR, NO SECURITY, IMPERIAL LEATHER, AARITILA, KRIGSHOT, DISCHANGE, VARUKERS, etc..

HARDCORE. Classic swedish d-beat hardcore. No frills, just angry bare-bones hardcore that takes the DISCHARGE formula and runs with it. If you own one record in the genre, this should be it. PUNK-ROCK. THE MEASURE have laid it all on the line here in their 2nd full-length "notes", wherein they continue their tradition of Left Coast-inspired pop-punk that leaves no room for metaphor or horseplay. They play at two speeds: fast and faster. Is the buzz in the guitars or the mix? Rising above the fray, both vocals weave around each other with a cutting cross-examination of self, society, and scene. In the context of a band's life, "notes" would be filed under dark sophomore release and greatest leap forward in confidence and songwriting. Vinyl comes with a MP3 download code.

HARDCORE-PUNK. This lovingly titled record leans a little too far towards the disgusting side. A few of the songs are more generalized than anything on the first one. Most of these songs aren't instant classics like the ones on the debut, but they'll grow on you, if you like this kind of crap. Same old catchy, poorly-produced obnoxious hate hardcore-punk. THE MEATMEN simply inspire a polite young man to shout "fuck you" every once in a while.
