TRASHMONKEYS
smile (2009/SISTER JACK)
GARAGE-ROCK/BEAT. The leading riff of the opener rises and falls equally to an oscillating sine wave. But it’s only a glimpse of a high-octane track that will unfold as soon as the other instruments phase in and sooner than you expect you’ll catch yourself singing. Simple yet effective arrangements are the trademarks of the sound on "smile" and together with the high fun factor it makes up an entertaining full-length you can play at any party. Look forward to this, the imagination and the groove of the TRASHMONKEYS are without bounds. You can't and shouldn't even try to escape them. Get it. It's gonna come in a nice gatefold sleeve!

TREE OF SORES
a cry of despair (2012/ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA)
PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE/METAL. Leeds 3 piece, taking influences from the doomy atmospherics of NEUROSIS, an underbelly of crust care of AMEBIX, and an air of recklessness favoured by the likes of EYEHATEGOD. The band create a vibe that is heavy, dark and ambient, with tortured male/female vocals, and a mission to take you to a frightening place. Starting out with crushing guitars and abrasive vocals a pounding rhythm soon is established leading to some haunting guitar work it sets the tone for more to follow. This Release also contains almost the whole debut (one song is missing) on the b-side and includes a poster-inlay.
TREES
sickness in (2013/VENDETTA)
DOOM/AMBIENT-METAL. "sickness in" is the 3rd album from Portland's most wretched, TREES. The band presents a 2-song assault, each one roughly 15min. in length, each a slowly rotting heap of droning slow-motion death-doom riffs decomposing into clouds of black amplifier hum, high shrieking voices and tortured screams drifting against the glacial roar of smoking amp stacks and short-circuiting hardware. "sickness in" inhabits the same sort of black-tar depths as the likes of BURNING WITCH, MONARCH, KHANATE while stripping the slo-mo heaviness into their own twisted, skeletal.
TREMORS
island songs (2011/SIX FEET UNDER)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Featuring the vocalist of UK's DIRTY MONEY, TREMORDS play fast, angry hardcore-punk with a raw recording and no filler. Think OUT COLD and POISON IDEA. This 6 track 7" is intense, tight and hits you right in the face. Vinyl includes a MP3 download card.
TRENCH ROT
s/t (2011/DO SOME HARM)
HARDCORE-PUNK. Featuring members of just about every underground Southern California hardcore-punk band from 2010, like BROKEN NEEDLE, COP, TIPPER'S GORE, NEON MANIACS and many others. TRENCH ROT bring a volatile mix of "feel the darkness"-era POISON IDEA and modern American d-beat spread over 5 tracks.
TRENCH ROT
tyrant (2012/VIDEO DISEASE)
HARDCORE. Latest and greatest 7" from these So Cal hardcore warriors. Rejecting the more traditional d-beat approach the band injects a huge amount of early US-hardcore influence into their DISCHARGE-tinged riffs, bringing to mind trailblazers such as the legendary POISON IDEA. They are not simply paying homage though, they are jumping out from the pack of trendy d-beat and rehash hardcore to bring a record with an incredibly powerful sound and incredibly catchy songs. On this recording they have stayed away from the raw-ponx trend that is sweeping Los Angeles and instead opted for a brighter and cleaner recording to capture the power that these juggernauts have. All copies on colored vinyl.
TREND
navigator (2005/SOUNDS OF SUBTERRANIA/PLASTIC BOMB)
POST-PUNK. Finally a new album of the four ex-Südpfälzer! The last single with the ingenious "Gott hat keine flugzeuge mehr" is just as represented as many other hits. Bulkily, ruppig and nevertheless melodisch and stamping SAM, it smells to Hamburg (Goldenen Zitronen, Blumen...) and England (Gang of Four, times again... "Mann in Uniform", haha, very well, also in music perfect a Hommage) and nevertheless completely own, even trombones (?) is used with "rue love". No boring, smooth production, separate roughly and "Punk" somehow. The texts are used like a class for itself, provided with quotations and cross references, large cinema, thanks! Record come with 4 different coverartworks.
TRIAC
always meant to hurt you. (2011/A389)
GRINDCORE. Baltimore's TRIAC blast through 4 tracks of furious noise-rock infused grindcore. Not for the weak hearted, this record is the perfect soundtrack for total panic and disarray. This is audio terrorism at its finest. Vinyl includes a MP3 download card.
TRIAC / DISCIPLES OF CHRIST
split (2013/REGURITATED SEMEN)
POWER-VIOLENCE/GRINDCORE. Baltimore’s TRIAC blast through 5 tracks of furious blasting grindcore, after a bunch of 7"s and a 3-way LP, here are some new blasts with a new singer. Features members of HATEWAVES, JESUS OF NAZARETH etc.. DISCIPLES OF CHRIST features members of MAGRUDERGRIND/COKE BUST/SICK FIX, and JUICE TIME do it noisier and filthier and a bit more power-violence oriented, which sounds like something that would have come from the West-Bay circa 1995. The deliver a mix of sludge, grind, and power-violence.
TRIAL
foundation (2012/NEW AGE)
SXE-HARDCORE. Originally released in 1997, this now-classic 7" from Seattle's straight-edge powerhouse TRIAL has been repressed on colored vinyl. This 4 song recording is heavy, heartfelt '90s hardcore at its best with both passionate and compassionate lyrics and features their classic song "this is not a trend".
TRICLOPS
helpers on the other side (2010/ALTERNATIVE TENTACLES)
POST-ROCK. Adding flourishes to the formula established on their debut TRICLOPS continues its assault on all pretenders to the punk, psych, prog throne. The sound on this album is varied, but one might say it’s akin to FIREHOSE crossing streams with GOBLIN in an acid vat. There’s even an acoustic bridge that sounds like a fever-warbled classic rock jammer. TRICLOPS is an acid-punk version of avant-garde classical composition with cinematic textures - an absurdist soundscape replete with comedic relief that acknowledges its own pure ridiculousness.
TRICLOPS
out of africa (2008/ALTERNATIVE TENTACLES)
POST-ROCK. Experimental music can be too far fetched to be enjoyable. TRICLOPS' "out of africa" manages to tramp this would be fine line; making it somewhat more decipherable, but just as obscured. TRICLOPS (ex- and current members of VICTIMS FAMILY, FLESHIES, BOTTLES AND SKULLS etc.) do their best to keep you guessing throughout "out of africa's" 7 tracks; ultimately making the 39min. of warped sonic sounds worthwhile. Instead of sticking to generic formulas, or trying to be too subversive, TRICLOPS does a good job of creating a new sound. The only exception is that, at times, this album sounds too much like AT THE DRIVE IN or THE MARS VOLTA. Vinyl version includes the CD as well!
TRIGGER / RUN TIME ERROR
split (2010/FUCKING KILL)
GRINDCORE/HARDCORE. TRIGGER plays a kind of technical grindcore with a hint to trashy death-metal and harsh vocals which spit out the german lyrics - JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE comes to mind; not just because of the german lyrics. RUN TIME ERROR are more on the trashy side of hardcore. Beside the intro they deliever 13 fast and fabulous grinding hardcore attacks with gutteral dual vocals. In grind we trust!
