INDIE-ROCK. "dynamite steps", the 5th album from Greg Dulli's TWILIGHT SINGERS collective, and the group's 1st in 5 years. "dynamite steps" is clearly the next chapter, a whole new level of catharsis and progress, evocatively cramming all the highs and lows of the maverick singer-songwriter's past half-decade into unexpected sonic trapdoors. The album's 43min. prove an unflinching odyssey through the dark side, but one that’s ultimately redemptive in its scope and power.

HARDCORE/METAL. Known for their rock-infused metal style with a direct influence from acts such as TYPE O NEGATIVE, ONLY LIVING WITNESS, and LIFE OF AGONY, TWITCHING TONGUES have made a name for themselves between touring the globe and the release of their debut, "sleep therapy". On "preacher man", the band brings forth 2 new tracks as well as a cover of the CANDLEMASS original, "at the gallows end". Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE/METAL. Formed late 2009 in Los Angeles, TWITCHING TONGUES brings a style of metal and rock infused hardcore not often heard in today's modern scene. Influenced by the ONLY LIVING WITHNESS, BLACK SABBATH, SAM BLACK CHURCH, the band finds a way to maintain originality and showcase their own vastly unique sound. ALTERNATIVE/COUNTRY. After releasing 3 albums and touring alongside DRAG THE RIVER, Ohio's TWO COW GARAGE are back. Having received comparisons to bands like LUCERO and the DRIVE BY TRUCKERS, "speaking in cursive" finds the band moving past their influences and finding their sound. While a departure to some degree, expect existing fans to love it, and new fans to be drawn in.

POST-PUNK. Who would have thought that this duo's simple formula of drums, bass and reverb vocals would be creating such a buzz. Recent San Fran transplants via Minneapolis, this dynamic duo has been tearing up basements, warehouses, bars, back yards, parties, and public restrooms for the better part of 2007. Think if CRIME didn't have their guitars and "flowers of romance" by PUBLIC IMAGE LTD got mashed up and only have you begun to get where the direction that TWO DOLLARS OUT THE DOOR take you. This is lo-fi and stripped down punk-rock at its finest with some of the most unique diy-packaging you'll see in awhile.

POST-ROCK. On their 2nd full-length, TWO GALLANTS weave urgent back-alley storytelling with no-frills instrumentation that alternately boils with visceral fervor and mourns with plaintive restraint. The youthful duo play a strain of rock that falls somewhere between folk, punk, and old-time blues and the resulting sound is much more than the sum of its parts. The double LP version includes 2 bonus tracks from the band's early recordings and a digital download card.

NEW-WAVE. Das Debut Album der Belgier aus Liege um eine ehmaliges Members der Crust-Punks von UNHINGED. Eigentlich erstaunlich, so eine Entwicklung vom Crust-Punk zum New Wave, dazu noch in der momentan sehr beliebten, modernen Form. Die Jungs machen ihre Sache hier schon sehr gut, mischen Garage Punk mit funkigem GANG OF FOUR Post-Punk, einer Prise New Yorker frueh-Punk/New Wave a la TALKING HEADS und der 'weirdness' von DEVO. Die Stimme erinnert dabei stellenweise an Ian Dury. Die Insgesamt 12 Songs sind die Songs durchgaengig tanzbar und stehen den Werken aehnlich gesinnten Kollegen aus den USA, wie RADIO 4 oder THE FAINT, oder aber den gerade gefeierten FRANZ FERDINAND in nichts nach. Die Verpackung ist auch sehr ansprechend auf retro getrimmt, ein sch”nes rosa Digi-Pack, sehr 80er like, genauso wie die Klamotten der im Inneren abgebildeten Herren.

HARDCORE-PUNK. This is the debut 7" by ex-members of DEAMON SYSTEM-13, REGULATIONS, VICIOUS and other great Swedish hardcore bands. It will come as no surprise to those familiar with the aforementioned bands that U.X. VILEHEADS play fast US influenced hardcore with a specific attention being paid to early Dischord titles.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Featuring former/current members of bands like INSTÄNGD, TRISTESS and REGULATIONS, you know that these guys know their way around a classic-sounding hardcore-punk tune and they drop 4 ragers on this little slab. It's rare to hear punk-rock that is as raging as it is catchy, but this 7" absolutely fits the bill, providing the perfect soundtrack to your next violent circle pit.

HARDCORE-PUNK. U.X. VILEHEADS is the latest in the line of great bands coming out of Sweden. After releasing 2 succesful 7"s it was time to release a full-lenght. The record is a 12 song attack of relentless hardcore-punk in the vein of OFFENDERS and TOXIC REASONS with a hint of MINOR THREAT. Members played in nearly every swedish band from the last decade: REGULATIONS, TRISTESS, INSTÄNGD, DS-13, INVASIONEN, VICIOUS, LOST PATROL BAND, DÖDSDÖMD and a million more.

DOOM/SLUDGE. UFO GESTAPO's 3rd opus "grandemissair" is out and it is again their own outer space and hypnotic brew of sludge and harcdorish outbursts, just driven to a higher level. A numb and unbearable dwelling within the milkstreet, but then again there is such vehemence, an intoxication of moods is inevitable. As well the vocals have improved to a greater style: here comes some cleaner tone of despair. The screw of weirdness has been driven even deeper, beware the keyboards! Leave this trip cleansed but feeling uncomfortable. Comes in a glossy sleeve plus inlay.

DOOM/SLUDGE. This is the vinyl version of the 1st UFO GESTAPO CD that came back in the days on Calculon Records. This 1st part of the trilogy has more of the cosmic Korg-synths but still extra desperate vocals and violent as a horde of angry aliens devastating your flat. Again the music dwells between doom, sludge and hardcore; gloomy slow parts alternate with short outbursts of fast hardcore parts. This was of course worth a vinyl edition and comes with a great silkscreened real LP 350gr cardboard jacket, completely new artwork. Limited edition of 500 copies.

DOOM-METAL. "eve" is the 5th official album by Italy's most cerebral and mammoth doom act UFOMMAMUT. The album - comprised of one 45min. atmospheric track, divided into 5 distinct movements. DOOM-METAL. After amazing both public and critics with 2 seminal albums which manage to combine the violence of NEUROSIS with the psychedelia of the more visionary PINK FLOYD, UFOMAMMUT originally released this LP back in 2006. The flaming spatial ridings which made their 2nd full-length "snailking" remain as an indelible brand, but alongside we find a development of new soundscapes made up of sinister atmospheres and gloomy sounds of vintage electronics. Imagine an insane and crazy version of MOGWAI or SIGUR ROS with gritty, fullbodied guitarwork: the result is the UFOMAMMUT. A powerful wall of sound while at the same time untrinsically dreaming, able to hypnotize and spellbind the listener with obsessive dilatations approaching drone music.
