UNEARTHLY TRANCE
v (2010/RELAPSE)
DOOM-METAL. UNEARTHLY TRANCE summons forth "v", an electric, urban funeral drone and their most epic full-length to date. With "v", the trio has come full circle; combining the expansive leanings of "electrocution" and "the trident" with the sparing, brooding doom of their earliest works. UNEARTHLY TRANCE's unwavering dedication to their principles and craft has yielded some of America's best metal with "v". For fans of ELECTRIC WIZARD, YOB and even SUNN O))). Vinyl (180gr) version includes MP3 download code.

UNFUN
caroline (2012/DEAD BROKE)
POP-PUNK. Devastating and melodic, rough-around-the-edges, drug-induced pop-punk from the depths of Vancouver, Canada. Filthy, sludgey, desperate punk-rock dragged through a shit-storm of dirt and regret. This slab of wax contains the epic jam, "caroline" and the 3 songs from the U.K. released, "shallow graves" on one 7".
UNHOLY GRAVE

UNHOLY THOUGHTS
the attic (2012/FORCEFIELD)
HARDCORE. A total ripper of deviant hardcore bringing the speed of JERRY'S KIDS without it falling apart and the rock n roll snarl of THIN LIZZY and ANNIHILATION TIME. It features ex GOVERNMENT WARNING as well as members of a slew of other great Richmond punk bands like SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS, DEVILS HAND, and HAVERCHUCKS. First press is 495 copies on 180gr black vinyl, encased in black jackets with metallic silver ink, black dust sleeves, and double sided insert.
UNION OF SLEEP
death in the place of rebirth (2010/PER KORO)
DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL. After last year's self-titled debut, UNION OF SLEEP deliver their 2nd release "death in the place of rebirth". Yet again they dish out uncomplicated, riff-based songs and solos which are obviously rooted in rock, but they come with a doom-metal, sludge and even a hardcore edge. Ruder and more decisive, this record punches like a steam hammer! Besides the essential sludgy, heavy riffs and fucked up atmosphere, you will discover a lot of subliminal grooves, too. Be aware of eight beastly fuckers, raw and crude, from the lowest instincts of mankind. Comprehensive yet refined, the union of extreme influences, instinctual prowess and rugged beauty on "death in the place of rebirth" is nothing less than impressive. If you have any sort of neck, "death in the place of rebirth" will force movement out of your head - in an up and down motion. Tech-metal freaks and hipsters alike will pretend to hate it, but they'll be missing out one of the year's best albums. Imagine THE MELVINS committing fornication with NEUROSIS and you'll get a slight idea of what it's about. LP comes with 350gr thick inside-out cover, and inlay. [PK #050]
UNION OF SLEEP
s/t (2009/PER KORO)
DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL. Heavy as fuck, these guys from Hagen/Germany love to worship SABBATH. Influenced from the classics of both metal and hardcore, UNION OF SLEEP blend the two together seamlessly while throwing in some good old fashioned stoner/doom and of course a whole bunch of rock 'n' roll. Sometimes they rock out like shit, but still keep the pace slow. A genre of riffs, with grate and dirt, spit, all taken into directions, angles, and awkward spaces. Rhythm and bass that flows like a rolling river, sometimes rapid, sometimes heavy, thick, and melodic, but always moving forward. These albums are laden with vocals that can haunt, entrance, or enrage, with angry lyrics and very low attitude. This record contains 4 brandnew songs as well as 4 songs from their 1st demo (re-mastered). If you love relentless heavy music, dirty and loud - this full-length is for you! LP comes with 350gr thick inside-out cover, and inlay. For fans of SLEEP or DOOMRIDERS. Be afraid, be in awe - UNION OF SLEEP is a journey worth taking. [PK #048]
UNION OF SLEEP / BLACK SLEEP OF KALI
split (2012/PER KORO/THIS CHARMING MAN)
DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL/PROGRESSIVE-METAL. First of all - this is not a record for speed fanatics - both bands like it slowl. UNION OF SLEEP from Hagen/Berlin should be known for their previous full-length releases. If you dig really groovy, down-tuned sludgy doom-metal, then look no further. If the likes of BUZZOVEN, FUDGE TUNNEL or 16 make you excited, then UNION OF SLEEP won't disappoint. Their 4 tracks have the right amount of rocking catchiness, heavy southern boogie, blues riffs and gruff booze drenched vocals. They're mainly mid tempo-ish but contain plenty of left hand turns to keep your interest - a hard-hitting riff festival over all. Denver, Colorado's quartett BLACK SLEEP OF KALI are by no means a retro band. They deliver 4 pulverising, uncompromising songs, with aggressive groovy riffs, post-metal aesthetics and influence minus the monotony within this genre. Their hybrid of post- and progressive-metal constantly balances a tightrope between mid '90s apocalyptic NEUROSIS' "times of grace" era and modern progressive-metal on a par with MASTODON, BARONESS, or HIGH ON FIRE. Each of the songs are a carefully woven collection of massive riffs that flow - BLACK SLEEP OF KALI know what they’re doing. Both bands have done an impressive job of adopting several aforementioned genres. There’s really no filler to be found here. All of the tracks are knockouts. LP comes with eyecatching artwork, thick inside-out cover, black innersleeve, lyricsheet and includes a digital download card. [PK #055]
UNION TOWN
s/t (2009/POWERED)
POST-HARDCORE. Obviously inspired by the bands they've been listening to for the greater part of their lives, UNION TOWN started out with a distinct post-hardcore feel to them. UNION TOWN continue to create a mix of hardcore and punk rock that crosses the mid '80s "Revolution Summer" era Dischord Records scene with the late '70s Los Angeles punk scene seamlessly, infusing melody and energy into a throwback sound. Pick up the album wherever you can find it - you'll be amazed!
UNISON
resignation speaks: i wll be a corpse (2002/GOOD SAMARITAN)
HARDCORE-PUNK. UNISON is a great hardcore-punk band from Belgrad, Serbia in the vein of older Ebullition Records bands, like STRUGGLE, END OF THE LINE etc.. This is probably one of the best albums to emerge from the Serbian and Balkan hardcore scene in years. Just flawless. Comes in a nice designed silkscreened cover.
UNITED SUPER VILLAINS
choke slammed back to life! (2001/DERANGED)
HARDCORE. Another fast thrashing hardcore record from Wisconsin's U.S.V.. The music is fast and furious but all the weird movie sound bites add a sense of comedy to the approach, but the U.S.V. lyrical content is quite good. This is a good record, and everyone who likes D.S.-13 or CODE 13 is going to like this as well. Thrash on!
UNITED YOUTH
something 2 prove (2012/LOCKIN' OUT)
HARDCORE. This is the debut 7" from Wilkes-Barre, PA's newest generation of hardcore. Drawing influences from late '80s NYC hardcore, UNITED YOUTH plays a style of hardcore much more mature than their age. Formed by 5 kids, they set out to play hardcore the way they wanted and to have fun.
UNITY
blood days (2012/IT'S ALIVE)
EMOCORE. This 7" compiles all of what were the new songs on the original MLP version of the UNITY "blood days" record from 1989 (the remainder of the songs on that release were remixed versions with new vocal tracks of songs off of the UNITY "you are one" 7"). It features members Pat Dubar of UNIFORM CHOICE on vocals and Joe D. Foster of IGNITE on guitar. For fans of DAG NASTY and VERBAL ASSAULT.
UNKIND
ei mitään (2005/COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY)
HARDCORE-PUNK. "ei mitään" consist 30min. of northern angst and misery from Finland! The backbone of the album is furious rocking hardcore-punk but the band are not afraid to expand their limits either, on the other end of the spectrum there are acoustic moments accompanied only by the darks sounds of a cello and pouring rain. This is a must for any fan of scandinavian or TRAGEDY/FROM ASHES RISE-school hardcore!
